Characteristics
The entire golf coruse, built in 2001, was modelled in the style of the classical links-golf courses of Scotland. It is situated in a valley plain and is playable 10 months a year. The course has a steadily rising tension and parts are well balanced. Long-playing golfers are demandable, but the short-players aren't at a disadvantage, either.
The Links Leuk Golf Resort has a ****hotel with 18 rooms and a restaurant with 120 indoor and 120 outdoor seats.

Very sad experience of what was once a great course.

Newly furbished facilities and doctoring of the once very challenging golf course made our experience quite disappointing.
No friendliness, receptionist who was difficult and unhelpful, and golf which now is designed, it seems, to flatter its generally very rich clients.
We will no longer play this course, which was one of our all-time favourites, as it is overpriced and lacking in the wild character it always had, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The course now smacks of 'corporate' golf, and has missed the point in all its attempts at going upmarket.
Sorry, guys, but the changes on the course are not for the good...
We will not be returning any time soon.

I visited Leuk and it's unlike any course in Switzerland.
The fine grass type and the undulating feel of the course reminded me of a scottish links even if there was no sea nearby! I liked the Par 3's particularly the water hole Nr. 14 and unlike the previous reviewer I thought the greens were really fun and interesting, particularly the 10th and 13th Quite a few holes are confronted with water - I particularly enjoyed the 15th which needed a full carry from the Tee to cut the corner off the fairway.
Definitly worth the visit.

Played the course in Leuk a few days ago and were surprised and disappointed with the condition of the course. The greens were a disaster. The fairways were littered with stains, brown spots and even dissolving grass. We were not informed about the condition of the course before the game. Given the condition of the course, the green fee was not nearly worth its price. I only rate the place here, everything else is great.
