Top 100 really?

Course ok, but not to be rated top 100.
Overall conditions not good. Quite difficult to drive with E Cart. Grass tinted with green ink.
Layout quite technical. You need to know the landing zones and the danger areas. Otherwise you will be penalised.
2GF with Cart for 120 Euro, online offer in Winter. Not a bad deal, but considering course conditions not great value.

FANTASTIC!

One of the best golf-resorts in the world. 3 championship golf-courses within 600 meters. All VERY different, but still very challenging. Very nice :-)

3 different beautiful courses

We played for a week in La Manga club. The resort offer 3 golf courses:

- 18 holes north course
- 18 holes south course
- 18 holes west course

Our favorite was by far the west course. This course is well designed and integrated in the middle of hills, forest and small valleys. Very tight fairways, we took our drivers maybe twice on first 9 holes. The course is challenging but is a perl, beautiful nature around and perfectly well maintained. So far my favorite golf in this region in Spain.

The south course offers most holes with water hazard. The holes a rather long and challenging to hit green in regulation. Fairways and green in very good condition. Well designed course, recommanded to any golfer.

The north course was in our opinion the easiest of all 3. Less hazard, large forgiving fairways. Nevertheless a nice parcour wich was a pleasure to play twice.

Price / performance ratio wasn't right

We had booked the Championship Course La Manga Sur for the last week of November. Reduced from 195 €, the "normal" visitor price, to 90 €.

Shortly before teeing off, we learned by chance from an employee that the greens had been aerifed 1 week ago, but the course would be playable again in the meantime.
The greens were a disaster - the fairways so-so.
By far the highest green fee for the worst place during our golf tour on the Costa Blanca.
A complaint about a discount on the green fee remained without a response.
Our disappointment is great.

The mega Manga resort!!

Talking about manga for a golfer is inevitable, three course 18 holes an English city in the Mediterranean sun with thousands of inhabitants, for my decidedly disturbing taste, I played the south course, renovated in 2004, in good condition, adequate green fee to the field, but perhaps a little high in proportion to the excellent alternatives in the area within a few kilometers.
I find this golf village structure anachronistic, conceived in the 70s practically at the time of Franco, considering that there is an outside world, and also very interesting, golfing and otherwise.
In conclusion, it must be tried at least once, on the top 100 we will have to open a long separate chapter.

Not in the high season again

One of three places was closed for a week (maintenance), may happen, but it looked like this for the other places at hole 1 (south course): A flight was putting, a flight was waiting on the fairway, a women flight (4P) the next flight was waiting for the tee and the tee for the men. It was no different on the driving range, chipping and putting greens were occupied by groups everywhere.

Resort with three golf courses

We played all three golf courses at the beginning of June. The north course is the typical resort place without a proper "signature hole". The place is partly on the road and you have to take the underpass twice to get to the other side - that's a bit annoying. Greens were quite slow for southern conditions, the fairways and tees well maintained. The south course is the championship course with water hazards and interesting holes. The greens were faster and the tees and fairways were well maintained. The west course has narrow fairways and meanders gently through the landscape. Through the gorges and ditches, the course offers a challenge that calls for a strategic game. It is wonderful that there is no development along the fairways in the west course. The view on the 18th tee is impressive!

Great facility

In July 2018 we played an 18 hole round on the south and north courses.
The North Course is hilly. The layout is varied. Greens are sometimes huge, heavily undulating and very fast. Before 13 o'clock NOT hotel guests pay € 190! Then for 2 GF & Buggy € 115.
Quality (1 Excellent, 2 Good, 3 Satisfying, 4 Well, 5 Too bad about time and money):
Deductions 2
Fairways 2
Greens 2
Conclusion: Great place..
Showers are very nice. The best sorted shop (especially for men) we have seen in the area.
Cart - absolutely recommended.

The south place is rather flat. The layout is partly varied. Greens are also huge, very fast and undulating. Before 13 o'clock NOT hotel guests pay € 190! Then for 2 GF & Buggy € 115.

Deductions 2
Fairways 2
Greens 2
Conclusion: Great place with many palm trees.
Cart - not necessary.

Striking, however, were the tons of NOT repaired pitch marks. Unfortunately, the sheriffs do not look too accurate.

Discerning, scenic great located place.

I just played the Western Course, actually a little too difficult for me (handicap 33) because narrow fairways. The place is however already a special experience, past lakes, canyons, mountain up and down. The view from 18sten is gigantic. For experienced golfers recommended.

That's it then...

Played 01/21/2015 Course West Abgeschreck by imposing GF prices I ventured first time this year to La Manga. Receiving cool, but hot on cashing of tourists. Place is interresting and challenging, but until the greens, lousy condition. The Linkage: # 18 acres with panoramic views Menor.

Top!

South course is the long championship course between palm trees!

North Course is the lovely resort course with fantastic Botany!

West Course is narrow and lined by pine trees, really cool!

Every place deserves 4 1/2 - 5 stars!
The hotel offers anyway!

Interesting golf courses with Abstrichten

We have played the golf courses North and West. The courses are interesting and varied. However, the green fee rates are completely coated. When one is confronted when booking with the strict rules of dress codes, also awakens the appropriate expectations. These have not been fulfilled in our view. The condition of the place is the season appropriate, the greens are fast. The staff is partly unprofessional and arrogant. So you get only very sparse information and learns more or less by chance that the game starts on tea 10. The trappings is a bit sloppy, such as unkempt (seats ripped) buggies. We could not sift Marshall, who has taken on a brisk game. For finding the next discount it sometimes requires mortgage find generic skills.

The finest

In April 2013 at max. 20 ° and we have a lot of wind (Hcp 23 +25) spent a great week of golf in La Manga. All 3 courses were very well maintained and had for us Northern Europeans unaccustomed fast greens. It's never boring to play at different places - but our favorite was clearly the West Course, especially hole 18 tee with a great view of the mountain and the sea! Much international golfers at the resort - English skills are helpful when booking etc., tee times were still good to get in the preseason - the reservation team was always very helpful and friendly. The driving range is huge, but the putting and chipping greens, however rather too short! The green fees are reasonable for hotel guests with € 89.00, but better pre-book a package!
We lived in an apartment in Las Lomas Village, already a bit dated, but okay so far. Of the existing 12 various restaurants but several were still closed, you should therefore book a table if you do not want to wait until 21.30, or look at the surroundings. The well-maintained complex is huge, there is a free shuttle is offered. Also a health spa, and tennis and football center there. Overall I recommend it!

Three places as they can not be more different

We have all three courses each period recorded in 1x 2-6.10.2012. The maintenance conditions were almost perfect. Small compromising the West Course. The layout of the three places have differences. The South Course has water hazards, the North course many small canyons and the West Course is the ultimate challenge due to the adaptation to the natural conditions. All courses have their own characteristics and high HC will not have it easy. The default restrictions make sense if you unfortunately also sometimes has the impression that but then everyone gets the square. However, you should make, especially in the high season absolutely tee times in advance and then bring a lot of time. From morning at 8.00 clock starts on flights of four in the rhythm of 9 minutes. In the afternoon you have more of a chance yet to get a free time. However, 5 hours, and more playing time from our experience is the rule rather than the exception. The green fee is juicy! It is advisable to be a hotel guest or at least to have a Golf Fee Card. The secretariat is busy but friendly. Is started by a starter (very nice if you are nice to him). Above all, the West Course offers some elevation changes, this may make sense to a cart. The clubhouse is a bit old and the operation wuselig something in the mass of players. The parking space is spanned by networks. The reason is obvious!
