Length and precision are very important, fairways and greens in good condition but deep bunkers all over the place - a true experience

...and found this beautiful Jack Nicklaus course 45 minutes from Dublin.
Great inland course with typical Nicklaus design, spacious fairways with many strategically well-placed large bunkers.
Top condition, greens fast and true to the line, and since everything is easy to see, no caddy is necessary.
At the beginning of May 2024, €90 in sunny weather and with few players, a bargain by Irish standards.
Stylish clubhouse, friendly staff.

We played the course at the end of May 2022 and found a golf course with wonderful old trees. The tees and fairways were in immaculate condition; the greens fast and on track. The golf course is designed in such a way that you can always see the old castle - great sight! We particularly liked hole 2 (par 5), hole 9 (par 4) and hole 12 (par 5). Nice detail: the bunker on hole 1 has the shape of the "Ireland cloverleaf"!
