Royal Course played on May 2nd, 2024 The course in the far west of Maui runs directly along the coast, in slightly hilly terrain. The panorama is undeniably great, with views of the sea on many courses.
In the hilly terrain, main roads and neighborhood streets have to be crossed several times. This offers variety, as no two courses are the same.
What is to be criticized is the quality: T-boxes sometimes resemble a field, fairways and greens are also in barely adequate condition. Bunkers look pretty, but are very difficult to play because the sand is very fine and varied.
The greens on the Kai course (currently only 9 holes open, have played 6 of them) would be clearly better.
Pro shop not exactly customer friendly, but caddy master!
