Very disappointing!

Fairways and greens in a very poor shape. One of the worst courses we have ever played. Luckily the restaurant (with a different management) served a good lunch in a nice setting!

Nice to play

Golfcourse layout interesting. The houses around did not disturb at all.
Golf course conditions ok, grass completely white brown, greens colored with spray.
I heard El Valle was the nicest one. This was for me far better than Alhama.
If you are running Murcia, you could play this course. Not a must though. I would ask before for course grass conditions before paying too much money.

Lost

We played the course years ago and since then the facility has seemed a bit more neglected.
Fairways good, lots of bunkers but some with little sand, greens very good.

Easy to park with your motorhome.
A starter would be good, as tee times are difficult to obtain and then flights of 2 start and let the player dilly-dally play through doesn't seem to be in style anymore.

Good to play - We'll be back!

We played this course on January 16th, 2024. The place was completely fine for January. Overall, the place makes a good impression. Certainly a different one from spring. The fairways are wide, some holes are difficult to play. Jack Niklaus Trail - one of 5 places - from start to finish. Lots of sand bunkers, I got to know a few myself. But they're good to play. The fairways are varied. Sometimes long distances between the fairways. I walked about 11 KM. The restaurant was ok.

We had fun playing there. The urbanization also makes a good impression. Beautiful houses to look at.

Currently no recommendation

Unfortunately, the condition of the place is still very bad in January, fairways and greens are very bad and not well maintained.
There is still a lot that needs to be improved before you can have fun playing here again.

Currently not worth the green fee!

It's a shame, the corona pandemic probably broke the neck of one place.
The course was closed for over 1 year and now the fairway looks like a field. On some tracks there is more earth than grass. Instead, the grass grows in some bunkers.
Maybe you can relax, so the green fee is thrown out the window.
It's a shame, actually a great place in terms of layout...

In bad shape at the moment

The course has a great layout and is very quiet. However, probably due to Corona in poor condition. Fairways bad but the greens even worse. Putting is no fun at high slow speed.

Good place with a few caveats

Successful layout as usual from Nicklaus Design. Greens could have been better. Game pace too long at just under five hours. Better than El Valle at the moment. It's fun if you can play to some extent.

Pleasant to play

Hacienda Riquelme takes a midfield spot for us at the Nicolaus Trail. The place is very pleasant to play. The bunkers are slightly reduced in size and number. The adjacent building is in the background and is not as intrusive as in other places.
The fairways could be played well even in the dry grass.
The greens were as fast as almost everywhere and require a certain getting used to, especially since they are also extra smooth rolled.
Overall a place where you can achieve a good score right off the bat.
Unfortunately, some flights in front of us was a very slow group on the way, so it was a bit jammed. Positive to note is that the game management intervened here and all subsequent flights were personally informed.

Schoen, Schoen and Schoen again

This is with the nicest place of the Niklas trails, sexy and yet super playable, super maintained and the pro shop offers a great service, we had a flat foot and the new cart was brought us within minutes.

The service is great and like all Polaris World facilities, well maintained and clean, it's amazing how much staff keep all facilities in top condition.

Who wants to experience a great golf week should play all courses.

Great place, very well maintained!

My absolute favorite among the GNK places! Great and very challenging design and incredibly well maintained. The greens had virtually no pitchmarks and were in top condition. Fairway and the rest in top condition. Too bad that there is no clubhouse or some form of gastro. Training ground very well equipped with all possibilities. Positive I also found red / yellow is also for weaker golfers to play well, blue / white calls the good golfer and wants to be played with proper length. So everyone can have fun. Conclusion: I have to go there again!

Place with a view

In comparison to the other places of the Nicklaus Trail, you have no houses right next to the cable cars and you can enjoy the view of the surroundings.

Good care condition, nice staff, a little annoying entrance to the resort, for the first time the ID card was required and the ID number noted.

A very beautiful place

Played in February 2017

Many bunkers, some water, undulating greens.

Unfortunately, even damage to notice of the bad weather in December, therefore only 4 points. However, it has been working diligently.

Recommendation...

Well maintained, slightly hilly golf course. The building is nice and unobtrusive. Water hardly comes into play. It is important to avoid the numerous large bunker to preserve the chance of a good score. The greens are directionally stable, slightly undulated and have fortunately hardly pitch marks on. Very friendly ProShop. Recommended.

Nothing to complain about

This was our last place of the Nicklaus series to Murcia. The space can be significantly more distance to the perimeter development than some other, next to the houses are also provided a relaxed, did not bother us. Course Design varied, difficult also by some differences in height with strong very strong and increased by bunkers defended greens. Bunker, like ultra-raised edges precisely in the direction in which you want anywhere and without end... Here Bunker Golf prevention is the key to a good score! For us, the best greens of the week, barely pitch marks indicates a very stable base, loyal and not as crazy undulated like in Saurines. not yellow with 5800m short but not unplayable long. Special clubhouse, indoor stylish, outdoor terrace (not on greens or fairways) but OK overlooking the palm garden. The waitress could have been friendlier but everything else well.

Great Place

Have played the course in September 2015 and loved it. The place has not so many dessert zones like the other J. Nicklaus courses, for many deep bunkers. He is very well maintained, very demanding and also the environment, ie, the apartment and villa complex is well maintained.
Beautiful clubhouse.

Well maintained and interesting course

Hacienda is, in my view one of the most beautiful places of the Jack Nicklaus plant network. We have stayed several times in the winter there, this time the fairways were good, the greens very well maintained, and the general care of the state, including condominiums right around it. All six courses are fun and can be mastered walking. The holes are varied, exciting and not just long, which in particular comes to meet women. Definitely worth a visit.

Unfortunately not as good

Two years ago our last visit. Unfortunately the greens were (heavily sanded and mostly brown with some small green spots) in poor condition. In all lakes the water is largely drained, what a sad sight results. I hope that you will leave the place to get the necessary care in the future. Then he has a dream...

Fantastic place and great conditions

We were there on 9.1.02012 and have played all 18 holes. A wonderful facility with club house in the old hacienda. Greens, fairway and tees in top condition. The hilly course offers something for the eye. If you're in the area, then you should not miss this place miss and the prices are very acceptable! October 12

The adjacent buildings here from further away than the other clubs in the area.
Slightly hilly course, nice to play.
The course has the best greens I've ever played. (Not that I have putted so well) No damaged parts and any different colors of the grasses.
I think I can tell, with an accumulated experience of more than 500 golf courses.
Unfortunately, the fairway is a bit thin overgrown and thus very hard. Therefore lacks a star!

Very nice place

In January 2012, we had the opportunity of 3 now 6 of the Nicklaus golf courses in Murcia Trials to play La Torre, Hacienda Riquelme and El Valle. All three were characterized by a very good state of maintenance. La Hacienda Riquelme liked it best to El Valle. The course is challenging, since it has numerous bunkers. The sand in it was to play very hard and heavy. This applies to all three mentioned in other places. La Hacienda Riquelme offers a bit more freedom than usual resort offers parking and is not as densely built, such as La Torre. The greens there are hard and fast because sometimes strongly connected. The sectors of the flag positions are indicated on the first tee and can be found on the Scroekarte again. Also worth mentioning is the very friendly staff who told us many interesting details about the course and the environment.
