In the Utrecht area... The region is blessed with some of the best courses in Europe. (de Pan, Hilversum, Lange Vuursche...) Goyer (pronounced Cheuja) is no exception. A very successful combination of forest, heath, and dune course. We played a few days after the club hosted the Dutch Ladies Open of the LET Tour, and the overall impression was appropriate. It starts off nicely and harmlessly with a fairly short par 4 in the forest, followed by a rather unspectacular par 3. But then... the course opens up and offers extremely interesting holes, some of which will stay with you for a long time. The greens are, as is typical for these courses, hard, fast, and have a few breaks. Special mention should be made of the beautiful remaining par 3 holes, the well-placed water hazards, and perhaps the unusual 17th, a par 5 where you have to play over a tree in the middle of the fairway twice. Very friendly reception, beautiful clubhouse with good food. The green fee listed above is incorrect: €130. But the course is worth it.
