Characteristics
Between Aachen and Heinsberg a nice 9-hole golf arrangement on the area originated during the last years near the town Geilenkirchen all around the mission house Loherhof. Attached to the sports park existing since 1994 Loherhof with his varied sports offers and an excellent catering trade, the golf park is aimed at a new draught.
The par 68 places is pursued publicly. New golfers can play immediately on the practise area and use the 18-hole to golf arrangement against a Greenfee of the place maturity also.

Varied and demanding place. On the first 9 holes (5 x Par3!) The short, exact game is particularly required. Also strongly defended by bunker or water hazards.
The long clubs are then pulled out on the new second nine.

Today I am adding the new 9 holes (PAR 36) I played for the first time on September 21,2020 to my rating from September 24,2018. The new holes were created across the street next to a new housing estate on a kind of high plateau. Apart from the fact that a regional express train passes by every now and then, there is absolute calm and the residents of the neighborhood like to walk past the facility with alpacas. Of course, the part of the system has not grown in yet and therefore everything is very open, which has the advantage that you can find warped balls relatively quickly. However, due to the hard ground, I sometimes did not get my longer tees into the ground on the tees. The new holes offer full-fledged golf and with a few inclines and the game over water on three holes also have a few challenges without being unfair for high HC. You can play the old, the new or all 18 holes as you like. If you just want to play the new holes, you pay a fair € 30 on weekdays. Just like tee times, there is no surcharge for golfers without a hologram. The new holes seem popular as it was busy on a sunny Monday morning. By the way, for the first time I saw the green keeping when mowing the greens with an electric mower, which is very environmentally friendly. A weather hut with toilets was also placed at the end of the square. Conclusion: If you are not afraid of the journey, you can now play almost full-fledged 18-hole golf at Loherhof.

The new lifts of Golfclub Loherhof are opened. With a length of over 3,000 m, there is now also in Geilenkirchen a full-fledged 9-hole golf course. Sporty it is fun, because it offers a nice mix of par 3, par 4, and par 5 holes. The par 5 holes are both over 500m long, but for good players in 2 strokes to reach, the par 4 holes have lengths between 290 m and 380 m, so are quite different.
