Lawn tractor escort at 18!! Railways

A well-kept golf course is of no use if the lawn tractor and the blower with large machines accompany you on 18 holes, sometimes even with 3 lawn tractors. Bad logistics from the greenkeeper. The toilet blocks during the 18-hole round had not seen a cleaner for a very, very long time and were overall very old.
All in all, the three of us left the pitch annoyed.

Highly Recommended

In June 2023 - despite the previous dry period - in absolutely good condition. The place is very nicely laid out; also exciting to play due to many doglegs, smaller curves and partly blind tees. There are also challenging bunkers on the greens, so e.g. B. the par 3 are by no means easy. All in all, golf is simply fun here and the course is suitable for all handicap classes. In addition, very nice employees in the secretariat and in the attached gastronomy.
If the stars here were only awarded for golf courses in Schleswig-Holstein, I would have given 5 stars. But of course, such a forest course can not compete with Irish top courses, so "only" 4 stars.

Nice place in SH

Played on June 22,2022, handicap 14.2, handicap 17.

Registration in advance by telephone, on-site staff secretariat very friendly. With a 20% reduction in the AllBrecht guide, BirdieBook and Logoball just over €50, very good!

Clubhouse very nice, facilities changing rooms, etc. in my opinion already great.

Sufficient training opportunities available, driving range slightly removed from tee 1/clubhouse, very well maintained.
Signage system and space OK, otherwise BirdieBook helps.

Tees partly uneven, fairways very good, sand in the bunkers was hard, due to the rain of the days before. The greens were in good condition. Entire place nicely mowed and maintained. If you want to play in such a state, you have to accept that the greenkeepers are on the move, we were accompanied on about 12 lanes, short waiting times.

Gastro was good and staff very friendly, priced completely OK

CONCLUSION:
Nice place in SH and there is not much missing for the 5 star!

Ordinary Course

As part of the Baltic Sea map we played the course today. The booking went online without any problems. Registering at the club was also very pleasant and we were also able to purchase a birdie book and a logo ball.

At tee 1 we met a nice couple who also went on the round as guests and we formed a flight together. It was very pleasant and stress free. A single player behind us was also patient and didn't want to play through, even though we offered it.

Now for the lanes, it all looks kinda the same, some well placed bunkers and only a few penalty areas. Nevertheless, we often had to play accurately and often discard. Not super hard, but still few challenges. There were some par 3s that were difficult because of the wind.

The course was in good condition, only on the tees was the ground rather hard and cost a lot of tees. The rough was high and balls off the fairway had to be looked for, even if they were in the first cut, the search was always unsuccessful in the rough.

The drink on the club terrace tasted good and with a view of two greens there was also something to see. The food looked decent, the portions and price were right, but the selection was rather limited.

Conclusion: You can play space, but there are better ones (in our opinion), but it's best to take a picture yourself!

Absolute feel-good place

Have played the course again after a long time. Still a very nice place in very good condition. Only the greens are probably due to the season (end of April) still in need of improvement. Didn't find the place to be difficult (my handicap = 24), but it definitely has its challenges.
Nevertheless, the round was very relaxing and restful.
The secretariat is very friendly, unfortunately it's not like that everywhere...
Nice day all round, we are already planning our next visit there. Clear recommendation!

Difficult place near Bad Segeberg

Played in April 2022 after Easter. Greens not 100%, but still playable. Practice area with large putting green, range and pitching green. Hilly Course: 1-9 are the original holes with slightly wider fairways; 10-18 were created later, some of which were quite long holes and narrower fairways. Therefore in my opinion 10-18 more difficult. Exemplary representation of the course of the course at each tee; just as clearly visible indication before green to the next tee. Unfortunately, the nearby and busy federal highway can sometimes be heard on some railways. Overall little rough. For that cf. much water. Greens are usually well protected by bunkers and/or. Water. Mostly normal wide, but not very deep greens. Aproaches therefore quite demanding. If you want to score well here, you should definitely have a good short game.
Secretariat and gastro were very friendly, the food was delicious. We can definitely recommend a visit.

A very nice golf course!

We spent three days in the Golf Club Segeberg and are thrilled.
An interesting and well-kept course with very well-prepared greens made it a lot of fun for us to play golf.
Many thanks also to a very friendly staff at the reception, who very flexibly fulfilled our small wishes (start times).
We would love to come back.
Greetings from Semlin

Great new look!

After years we played again in Segeberg and were pleasantly surprised by a successful design measure:
The former, partially overgrown areas between the fairways were optically very cleverly renewed by a new sowing of the variety "summer meadow or similar" and give a great high-quality impression of the entire system.
Not only the insects will be happy about that!

Really nice!

A really nice and very well-kept place with tukish lanes. The couple 3 are already challenging me because of "uncomfortable" lengths. Striking that it can be quite windy at one point or another. Take care! Unfortunately we could not really use gastro (Corona). Staff but very friendly also at the reception. So why not get full marks? We were followed by 2 greenkeepers who accompanied the game on 4 or 5 holes with their lawnmowers.

Beautiful place

The place is simply top! Beautifully laid out, plenty of water and partly long lanes. Ondulated greens, doglegs, really very varied. For top well maintained and despite tagelangem rain well playable. With wind strength 4-5, however, he was a challenge!
Very positive the happy hour with reduced green fee also on Sunday and the very nice club secretary.
The only downside was the closed gastro (Sunday!). The reason for this was the persistently bad weather / thunderstorm in the morning. Plausibel, but still a pity, especially, since the closer environment unfortunately also no restaurants offers.
Nevertheless, all in all, a great place, which is not yet overrun and which one should absolutely play, if one is in the area. We will be back in any case!

Very nice course...

Very nice, well maintained and quite long course. Much better than the places on the coast where you can see the sea anyway. If you want to play golf in the region, I recommend Segeberg before Lübeck Travemünde. The additional seats only as a supplement.

Great Place

A very nice and great place. For ladies and high handicappers because of some long holes a little harder to play.

Recommended!

Beautiful place with manicured fairways and greens. The course is varied, it offers both wide and narrow fairways with a few water hazards. It is absolutely fair and, in our opinion, a challenge for all skill levels. We always like to play the course, when we are staying for a short trip to the north. Since he is not very busy, you can play at any time. Recommended. Friendly atmosphere.
