Characteristics
The Golfanlage Warnemünde is situated in the middle of a unique, unspoilt coastal landscape. The architecture is considerate and respectful of the existing, natural topography and only carefully added compatible elements. Predominant planting and vegetation structures were consciously integrated into the design. Estimated opening: fall 2008. Starting in summer 2008, the driving range and the 6-hole short course for practise and taster golfing are open for playing.

Unspectacular but solid 27 holes

After having played holes 10 to 18 in March 2020, I now played holes 19 to 27 and 1 to 9 on June 27,2024. The flat 27-hole course plus 6-hole short course is located northwest of Rostock not far from the Baltic Sea, which unfortunately cannot be seen from the golf course. The clubhouse is modern and the reception at the counter is very friendly. Unfortunately, there is no way to reserve tee times online. However, this was quick and easy via email. You receive a separate tee time for each 9-hole loop. When we played on a sunny Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m., a tee time would not have been necessary because the game was very manageable. Actually, we hardly saw any other players on the course. The green fee prices Mon. - Sun. of currently €75 are reasonable and appropriate. Anyone who plays Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. receives a sundowner rate of currently €50. There is a restaurant, but it is currently only open to a limited extent. We did not use it. The course is primarily impressive due to the knee-high rough next to the fairways. If you play into it, the ball is 90% lost. There are also a few water hazards, but these rarely come into play. One or two tees, especially for the men, are narrow between tall trees, but most tees are open. There are a few doglegs and enough bunkers, otherwise the courses are rather unspectacular. The condition of the greens and fairways was mostly good. The sand in the bunkers could have been a bit looser. The tees deserve a positive mention, as they were not very worn, which may be due to the moderate amount of play. All in all, a good, solid 27-hole golf course for a round in absolute peace and nature.

We were at the Waremünde golf course on April 23rd and 24th, 2024 and felt very comfortable in the chilly April weather. Very friendly staff with a trainee on the account who proved himself to be a great asset. We bought polo shirts and golf shoes in the very well-stocked shop and felt comfortable in the restaurant. A good menu with attentive staff. The course, despite the cold April, is in top shape with friendly greenkeepers. There are enough parking spaces, so no one has to drive too hard. We will definitely be back soon.

We stayed 3 days in one of the apartments on the golf course. We received a friendly welcome everywhere, whether at reception, on the golf course, on the range or in the gastro.
