Great design, poor management

We spend 2 days there with friends. On 1st look. Good looking hotel and course. On second one there is many things to improve. 1st of all course is not in the shape to charge 75 Eur it shoud be max 30 Eur. Greens are aerificated and with many bad spots. 2nd after round if you try to use shower you need ask for towel and card at reception. Once you are in shower you realize that if more than one person try to use it at same time you will get cold water only for 75 Eur. So even I love it here not sure if I will come back again.

Great championship course!

Beautiful valley course.
Running water and still water.
Clubhouse with a great view and employees with a smile. Interesting course structure, playful and diverse.
Not easy to play but fun.

Our first Gary Player Course - we are thrilled

The layout of the 18 lanes leaves no room for boredom. Beautifully planned into nature and supplemented with other trees, bushes and small lakes. The reception at the golf reception - extremely friendly and courteous and very flexible. Tees and the wide fairways are great to play. The greens were not great due to the long drought. On the second round we were the first on the course and the freshly mown greens were better than the day before. Unfortunately, one notices the lack of staff for the mowing work around the bunkers and the maintenance of the bunkers. But that couldn't negatively affect our overall impression. The price-performance ratio is absolutely sensational.
The only massive criticism. The driving range could be a bit neater. There were new carpets but the cleanliness... Putting and chipping green was not really "in operation" on our two days.
All in all - we had two nice rounds of golf which we would rate 4-5 stars.

Beautiful place in nature

Beautifully built in nature, slightly hilly 18-hole course. Good condition, no dried out areas.
Wide and soft fairways, the putting greens have just been worked on, but a good round is still possible (half price €84 for 2) or leisure break halfway house at the 9 and toilets. Also good to walk clubhouse with restaurant and hotel.

Fantastic

Great place to play.

The default of 70 cannot be understood by me, the space is tough.

If you have little time - play the first 9 holes and enjoy.

Greens in top condition.

A "must play" when you are in the Karlovy Vary area

We also cannot understand the negative reviews in front of us. But these were some time ago.

We were in Karlovy Vary for a few days and played several rounds in Cihelny (and other places). Cihelny mainly because neither the long-established GC Karlsbad nor Sokolov can hold the water.

Speaking of water. When we were there, the course was very wet and no ball rolled more than a few meters because it had been raining the days before. Well, there's nothing you can do about the weather.

However, the greenkeepers compensated for this by doing a great job - especially with the greens. These were very quick and well maintained, if you disregard the fact that most players there - like most other holiday spots - are reluctant to bend down to get active with the pitch fork.
Everyone should touch their own noses. We have corrected 5-8 tokens on every green on every round.

The place is "only requirement 70" - but it has it all.

Great tees in the depth of partly wide fairways pair with really very demanding par4 tracks (doglegs) and a 200 m par 3.
Many lanes are lined with water hazards.
As an exciting conclusion then the 18, which goes uphill again tight.

The staff was friendly and helpful. After lane 9 there is a small hut where you can take a break (drinks and small meals) and watch the subsequent flights while playing on the green of 9.

CONCLUSION:
We really liked the place and we will definitely be back.
By the way…. from 1 p.m. there will be "sundowner". Leisure breaks are accepted beforehand.

Big fun!

I can not understand the negative ratings. Well, some tracks are acoustically disturbed by the proximity of the motorway (but not as endangered as on a motorway-parallel tee against the direction of travel as in the golf resort Karlovy Vary ...).

The railroad thwarts the facility (at a pro-tee you are quite forced to drive through the Bimmelbahn before the tee - but no problem for normal golfer of yellow / blue / red), that has something of a model railway - very nice. In addition, several tees crossing the river with tees bridges, all very imaginative and beautifully arranged. In addition a great Par 3 with a hinted island green.
The tracks are very well maintained, plus a picture-book short course. If you have the luck of a bargain with voucher and good weather, everything is perfect!

A real recommendation! The most beautiful resort in Karlovy Vary surroundings (compared to Sokolov and Golf Resort KV) ...

Oh well...

We played Cihelny in mid-September 18 but were not 100% sure of the place. Track 1-5 in the upper area were as well as track 18 very dry and hard. For the railways in the river valley, this was completely different. Here was an enormous amount of water in the game, which has made the place interesting. For some players with a higher handicap, the diagonal tees across the stream were a real challenge.
Overall, one can say that a bit more space maintenance could not hurt. In addition, we found the staff in the office very cocky and arrogant. Maybe because we only wanted to play with LeisureBreak for half the price.
Not necessarily a must on our next trip to the Czech Republic.

Beautiful Place

We played the course in September 2018. We liked it a lot, quite sporty. A cart was therefore quite pleasant. The club is modern and well maintained. I think he was designed by some well known golf course attorney. At the reception a little more friendliness would be quite pleasant. We played several places. Cihelny but especially Kynzvart liked us the most!

Great

We had a great golfing day. A very varied place, beautiful embedding in the environment, much, much water. Greens fast and super maintained. All around a great golfing experience. Changing room not used, therefore no evaluation.
Also had the luck of a great flight assignment. Greetings to Jochen and Nicole.

Beautifully situated and varied

Many lanes with demanding ups and downs. Top greens. Water times more, sometimes less challenging. Fairways, which makes a special appeal. Greens often guarded by deep bunkers. It was a lot of fun.
Clubhouse very nice and staff friendly. A little way to the driving range, generous putting green.
Should be in any case again play.

Great Place

After the greens at the beginning of the year were badly battered, the place is in the middle of July in a perfect state. In the halfway hut there is now no starter kitchen, but with a hearty bratwurst and a cold beer (alternatively such sparkling wine or alcohol-free beverages), it is here good rest. That there are here and there annoying wasps, one can not blame the place.
We always like to come back!

This was not a highlight - we will not be back

Have the place to play on the fourth of the 30.5. Extreme operation. The anticipation was great, reviews and descriptions were really good. The place is for me "quite nice", the proximity of the road to me a lot of heavy traffic again and again disturbing, but there are also quiet corners. Fairway well maintained. BUT: 17 greens in a catastrophic condition, holes, unpitched, shaggy, a single hoppele and the falling of the balls was pure coincidence. We were horrified, our mood was not just positive. When you switch from 9 to 10, you pass the 17th, there was no flag in the hole, there was not even a hole, where they could have been inserted. No greenkeeper to look far and wide. When we were there two hours later, she was back in there.
I complained and said that they could have pointed to the green conditions and a discount would have been appropriate. The lady then lied also, by saying that she had told us. But she does not, she does not apologize. Since I am used by cheaper clubs different. This has nothing at all to do with customer orientation - we certainly will not come back

A gem near Carlsbad

The only reason not to give 5 stars, would be close to some tracks for running past main road. But of course plays as varied and surprising at almost every track, so that the 5 stars are deserved. A downright very favorable green fee and a very good place state support this. Also worth seeing: the best short course facility that I have ever seen.

Very nice place

I played the course on Wednesday 17 August 2016th Right at the beginning was nothing. A warm welcome and a friendly instruction where the action is to find, looks different. At the time of my visit at the bar are neither fruit nor sandwiches to have on the go, only bottled water. But I'm not so came here because the lady at the reception and for the hospitality industry. The infrastructure in and next to the clubhouse is neat. Positive is the large and very well-maintained putting green just below the clubhouse. The course begins with a beautiful and challenging but generous par 5, which I really like. The fairways are not always the longest, but carefully integrated into the landscape and offer some variety. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in immaculate condition. The greens are in my opinion the better that I have played in the Czech Republic so far. Only the bunker are in my opinion too little carefully maintained by the green keepers. The edges are not well maintained - ceded, not trimmed - and the sand was obviously no longer raked for several days. The site is located in a very beautiful landscape. The road to Karlovy Vary and the (rare) passing train disturb not really. The sausage after the hole no. 9 were fresh from the grill and quite tasty. The fairways 17 and 18, in my opinion do not fit into the overall concept of the square. Overall, I rate the place as well. Neat Bunker would perfect the overall picture of this beautiful place. I will gladly come back to this place back.

Good four stars

Mittlellang, greens rather simple, but from hole 6 each water - take a lot of balls. Front Nine recommended better than back nine, Cart, restaurant falls against total investment especially in the service a bit off - these are just dreit star. Yesterday we (July 2016) Leisure breaks played - so good Monday or Tuesday - € 70 with cart for two people

Great Place, but pack a pair of balls more!

Beautiful, challenging course, good course design. Attractive landscape. A lot of water, some spectacular discounts on railway line, over the water or into the valley, because you can lose more balls miss a few. The only drawback: Federal Street next door is annoying in a pair of holes a little bit. Greens were very ok in October 2015th Ordinary general care status, polite staff, very nice Gastro with delicious cakes after the round. Unfortunately you have to adapt to because of the many green fee players on an above-average round of golf (> 5 hours). So next time start time as soon as possible! (applies also to other places in the Czech Republic), Ranger or pacemakers there is not.
The space you have to play again.

Very beautiful and sophisticated facility

We played in June 2015 of the installation, the place was in an excellent condition. The staff at reception and in the clubhouse was very friendly and helpful. For driving range but you have to take some time in purchasing, unfortunately is not in the vicinity of the first teas. The course is on the first 9 very bumpy and hilly and it takes when carrying the bag in good shape. The greens were in excellent condition as are the fairways and the rough area, balls could be found quickly. All in all, a very nice facility and we are determined to play there again.

Two faces - Note well

We played the course beginning in October 2014 after good and cheap night at the Royal Golf Hotel right on the site! Staff in the Secretariat and friendly restaurant! Green fee too expensive without question! Greens fast! The front nine are great integrated in the hilly landscape around the hotel, varied, gravel roads are ok! :-)
No longer back nine so great, right on the main road!
Overall a great WE, will come again!

A good day of golf

I played the course in 2013 and was very pleased. ME is designed the place very nice, he can play well in spite of some difficulty. The heat on the visit cost the frequent ups and downs of some force, if necessary, use an e-cart.
Reception and clubhouse are very modern and built in tip top shape. Staff very friendly. I would stay here again

Top plant

We have played in May 2013. The whole complex is very well maintained, the greens were fast and true. In two places the gravel roads were steep but still walkable. Very friendly and attentive staff, very good value for money. We'll be back!

Price / performance ratio does not

On 10 October we played there. The steep gravel roads on this course were very bad commit. - The greens were almost all unplayable because large damaged areas were available. In our application we have not spoken of damaged greens, a notice would have been advisable. All in all, a disappointment.
'll Never play here.

Interesting place

We played on 02/06/2012 on the golf course. We liked it very well. Even the railway, which has from time to time crosses the paths more amused than annoyed us. A Card but is recommended in any case. The ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful. Beautiful restaurant terrace. Unfortunately the service is not really good German or English. But with hands and feet went das.

Price / performance ratio is not right

The place is very nicely integrated into the valley and the tracks are made fairly. The greens were unfortunately very slow and bumpy. Some gravel paths between the paths are very steep and therefore difficult to walk on.
In the sanitary area no bath towels were designed. On request we got handed out at the reception small thin towels.
The dressing is crammed with lockers. There are no benches and coat hooks available for storage. The sanitary facilities (showers) is generous, with Duschschampoo unfortunately had none.
According 1golf. eu should be 66 Euros weekend green fees.
We (4 pers. On 16/06/12) paid green fee 81 €.
Overall, this price and performance do not match.

Not met expectations

The lady at the reception was not very welcoming.
Place on very many bumpy dirt roads have disrupted.
Despite little operation and a Marshall no Spielfluß came about. Everyone does what he wants...
Actually, the place is located in beautiful surroundings. However, in the same valley is a busy main road, it was permanent traffic noise. Our conclusion: Once is enough!

Beautiful day

Very well-maintained complex, beautifully integrated into the landscape, unfortunately, the railroad goes through a part of the place. Fairways and greens top has us very much. Secretariat and food friendly although the restaurant was very upscale compared prices. Heliports available.
Played on 07.07.2010 4 pers.
