Worth a visit

July 7,2013 La Finca offers wide and clear fairways for all golfers but a few very challenging approaches to green islands. Running water, olive trees, wild birds and small canyons with bridges also characterize the course. No stunning elements but a nice and playable course. The service was friendly both at the club house and at the restaurant.

A great facility - a good place

We visited both the course and the facility. As an urbanization it cannot be compared with Las Colinas. But I like the place better.

Not easy to play in January. Humidity, wind and altitude do not allow the balls to fly as far. I was always surprised that the ball was too short. The greens were mown short, putting was not easy due to the very fast greens, a 3 putt was played quickly. The fairways are varied, every hole to be played is a new challenge.

A course to play alongside the courses at Las Colinas, Vista Bella and Lo Romero! These are our favorites.

I run every place. There is a lack of electric trolleys, they don't exist! Therefore only 4 stars!

Long, light, beautiful

We really liked the facility (Hcp 9/12). The condition was excellent from AZ. This is how golf is fun.

The biggest challenge is definitely the length. There are no further challenges. You can happily hit the ball and rarely have to worry about losing a ball.

The flow of the game would have been terrible, because a large group of snails, divided into 8-10 flights, played in front of us. 7 (!) let us pass - we've never experienced that before. Was cool, even if it felt like speed golf. Regardless, we were very happy. But: Apparently large groups are carted here, so that traffic jams can arise behind them.

The staff in the pro shop, at the start, on the lap and in the restaurant were very friendly. Speaking of the restaurant: very friendly service and a very English menu (plus pizza/hamburgers). Unfortunately almost nothing local.

Buggy or trolley? From our point of view, it was definitely a trolley, even if all the other players were traveling with a buggy.

Something for long hitters

We played 4 courses in Costa Blanca in a week and this one leaves me with mixed feelings.

On the one hand it is a very nice facility with a friendly welcome and a very impressive clubhouse with a wonderful terrace. Also, we have not experienced on any other golf course that the tee times were really managed. So the marshal sent us on the round 15 minutes earlier. On the round we were asked twice if everything was to our satisfaction and ultimately it was checked that we could get through without stress before sunset.

On the other hand, there is a layout that often forces you with a medium handicap to use the longest possible club in order to arrive at all with a tolerable number of clubs. The water hazards are numerous, the ditches deep. A ball is usually really gone, even if you can still see it. In addition, I have the psychological effect that although the goal is far, the course often does not offer any real obstacles, so that every failure is really just one's own inability and is not due to any adversity. That may sound strange, but for me it has a higher potential for frustration than, for example, Las Ramblas, which is teeming with obstacles.

Overall, we played the fastest lap here with 3:50 hours. At the Sundowner rate, the course is definitely worth the green fee. He is only slightly behind Las Colinas, but from the gut it was the least nice golfing experience for me and my partner, even though the score at the end was similar to the other three days.

Very nice facility!

A pleasantly reserved peripheral development, which is usually also very tasteful. A very nice place that gives every HCP his chance.

You can walk well, even without an electric drive, but you should be able to be quite straight. We really enjoyed the parkland course and would play it again at any time.

One of the most beautiful rounds of golf in the region!

La finca quo vadis

Unfortunately I cannot confirm the most recent review.
The greens are extremely played. An unbelievable number of unrepaired pitch marks and in some cases extremely soft because they were way too wet.
Also, the fairways with many bare spots on the edges are not worthy of a premium golf course!
It's a shame how the place has deteriorated within a year.

...in the top 100 Spain...

...this course is listed in the first half - surprises us, we don't remember it so well.

José - called Pepe - Gancedo designed this course, he was mainly responsible for the fact that the golf offer on Tenerife was doubled in a decade.

We played two rounds here in 2007, used the resort - again this time - were/are very satisfied. The resort and course are currently being highly praised in the media - we can understand that.

The memories are not so numerous, very warm, dry, hard and with a lot of wind. The notes gave away, the driver was glowing, the score wasn't, the balls weren't where we wanted them to be...

This is not so obvious today, it's still dry but it's very neat to play, you can still see green. Maintenance far better than 2007!!!

The layout is good, but doesn't convey that much excitement, an open course in not entirely flat terrain, with some moderate terrain transitions. On foot it is quite easy to master.

You can really step on the gas here, hardly any fairway bunkers, the fairways are usually wide enough and trees rarely bother you.

The greens match the course, not that difficult, they were slow today.

We give this facility four stars, the lot had to decide four or five.

Variety is a bit lacking for us and most of the Hoyos are straight.

All good

The clubhouse is enthroned on a hill and has a pleasant view of 18 well-planned and well-maintained golf courses. Once (after the 3) a border development comes into play, otherwise this is a pleasant golf course. and that means something in Spain..

Good but not too good

I played on August 27,2021, the field is very interesting and playable, I found the conditions good.
The highlight is the impressive and elegant club house.
The weak point is the caddy master and the service to the players; they gave me a cart that at hole n. 2 was already empty, my playmates had the GPS system supplied not working.
I believe that for the required green fee it is unacceptable.

Pleasant facility and especially finished resort

Played on 2.10.2019. The facility in the eponymous La Finca resort south of Alicante is very complacent. Wide fairways, a few risky haircuts, mostly flat fairways, prepare even higher HC enough enjoyment of the game. Every now and then a water hazard makes it quite varied. Challenge the 17 (PAR 4), from which one can attack the green directly over water, if one is correspondingly long. The condition was absolutely fine and the landscape is due to the finished and mature resort area very attractive. In the pro shop you will be greeted warmly and the starter / marshal was very nice in contrast to some so-called residence, they think that the facility alone and pressure to exercise, although you have to wait obviously of the golf etiquette have little idea. You should book early a start time (goes online on the homepage even with discount / sundowner), since the game operation is always very high. We needed "only" 4:15 hours for the round in the 4er-Flight. It starts here in the "relaxed" 10-minute cycle. We paid with GPS-Cart (without water / cart not essential) for two people a reasonable 172 €. A round here can be absolutely recommended.

'll Be back!

We played the course twice last week. Very nice, varied tracks. Most easy to play, wide, slightly hilly fairways between old olive trees. Food and service in the clubhouse but rather modest

Beautiful Place

We, Hcp 10 & 16, played here in July 2019. Secretariat was ok, clubhouse something under renovation. Buggy is recommended.
The place is quite varied, sometimes quite wide. Every now and then small ditches or obstacles in the game, you should, depending on the strength of the game, here and there, something strategically proceed.
The pond between 8/13/17 has unfortunately smelled quite over, because you wanted to continue only very quickly.
Service in the clubhouse restaurant so-so, there is also a "service" on the round.
The place is definitely recommended!

Very good place

Best place in the region Played on 10.3.2019 Difficult but fair!
Shortcoming in all the places in this region: too many slow and bad players are left out. Rounds under 4.5 hours impossible.
As the British say, slow play is annoying!

Wide and long

We played an 18 hole round in July 2018.
The place rather flat, the fairways were a carpet. Wide but nice a bit longer.
Quality (1 Excellent, 2 Good, 3 Satisfying, 4 Well, 5 Too bad about time and money):
Deductions 1
Fairways 1
Greens 1
Conclusion: Great place must have played times.
Showers and clubhouse are well maintained. Big shop with good selection.
Cart - recommended.

A golf course with light and shadows

To place itself: A wonderfully into the landscape, and in the House building embedded Golf Course. The fairways are very spacious and even a ball of times it misses the fairway is to find easily. The fairways are well suited for Longier. This need not always be the driver. The long pair of 3 fairways want to be sure of alluded above. The size and extremely fast greens allow little roll on the green. The greens were great; as smooth as a carpet and also optimally waved. If the ball landed times on the fairways, he had a good chance to roll far. The club selection is therefore to think twice. The hotel is recommended in any case.
Now the clubhouse: Except for the pro shop, caddy master and changing rooms - the perfect and clean are - is usually not built anything finalized. At tea 1 we saw the restoration - the 19 hole -; a great view of the 1 and the 18. The service leaves something to be desired - operation must be fast and attentive.
In summary, the whole area lights and shadows. The price for two people and a car was at our time at 163 €. The place I would still play again next year.

Super place to unpack Driver

Upon arrival, a garndioses clubhouse. A closer look is much under construction. At the restaurant is still Aufholbedraf. Space is wide and long. Fairways to land a Driven. Very nice view of the houses. Outside the urbanization is all farmland. You notice that even here the money is a little tight but not at the place itself.

Worth a visit

La Finca is slightly elevated and thus provides a great view into the Vega Baja. The long holes allow full attack because the fairways are quite wide. The place is well maintained and is characterized by a beautiful old olive trees and amazing water systems. Particularly spectacular is the whole 5, a par 5 with almost 500m yellow tee that flaunts a green on a peninsula. All in all one of the more attractive places I've played.
