Characteristics

With a passionate and relaxing atmosphere, the Golf du Soleil stands out by its subtle mix of Moroccan hospitality and golf etiquette.

Set in-between the Atlantic ocean and the Atlas Mountains, the splendid Golf du Soleil appeals with rare combination of game and sensations.

The technical diversity of the three courses demands a wise choice of irons and woods. In the mean time, it offers a wide scale of playing levels. Each course draws its own personality from the lakes, bridges, waterfalls, bunkers, bushes and wide shady fairways strewed all over the golf.

For me, the most beautiful place

We played the course twice in November 2025, both times the Championship Course. The caddymaster ultimately decided which pairing we had, as he "just quickly" added us to another couple each time. It seems they make sure that pedestrians aren't paired with drivers, but we were fine with it. We always enjoy meeting relaxed golfers from all over the world on the first tee, while another golfer had specifically asked the caddymaster for more German playing partners.
Our Scottish playing partners had a caddy who looked after the female player wonderfully, but was also happy to help us (which earned him a chilled Coke after the round). He often teed up another ball if she missed one – that would bother me in a normal round, but here under the Moroccan sun, it's holiday golf, not a competition.
I have fond memories of the course - beautiful layout, good condition, interesting fairways, good greens.
The clubhouse terrace for a drink after the round is also great, but we were soon drawn back to our accommodation.
For me, this is the best spot here – and definitely worth another round! Or several!

Well-maintained golf

Played the Tikida Course for the first time on March 6,2025.
The practice facility, with its driving range, putting green, and chipping area, was perfectly adequate, although it was very busy, which isn't surprising. When tee times are assigned every six minutes to accommodate as many golfers as possible, the course simply gets very crowded!
The fairways were in acceptable condition, the greens were good, but the bunkers were very hard. I don't know if this had anything to do with the heavy rain during the night, or if the sand is always this hard. Unfortunately, there were also many small stones in the bunkers.
The course is not very varied, there are some doglegs and sometimes water comes into play, e.g. hole 16 or an elevated green on hole 5.
Unfortunately, there was no yardage book, and the tee boards only showed the yardage without the layout of the holes. If you'd never played the course before, you sometimes didn't know how the hole lay or where the green was.

Nice places - organization could be improved

The two 18 hole courses are very nicely laid out, rather narrow fairways, but not very long and generally well maintained. We were there in February after a long drought period, so the greens weren't cut down as short and were rather slow; There were many burnt areas on the fairways. The staff is very friendly, but the organization is quite chaotic: you are often pushed to a different seat than the one you actually booked for that day. In addition, flights of four are started every 6 minutes, which sometimes leads to miserably long waiting times on the course, so that we usually played for over 5 hours and had to wait several minutes for each shot.
On the other hand, the Caddymasters tried to accommodate individual requests or changes.
The driving range, which is usually overcrowded, often runs out of balls (very old and dirty) - but there were relatively new mats everywhere.
The green fee is rather cheap compared to other golf regions, for example the Canary Islands, Spain, etc
