This is the second french course that we tried during our holiday in northern spain. It is a very thigt course were you sometimes are in play with other holes. Hole nr 4 is a par 5 were the driveing ranch is crossing the fairway, you have to ring a bell for stop playing from the ranch, little bit odd. Very nice clubhouse and restarant.

Very nice, varied place with a good restaurant. Fair holes and well-maintained greens. Walk a bit to the driving range. With the special feature that you cross it on the 4th hole.

Great view of St Jean de Luz and the port
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 22, 2020
As with the other rated courses: the region is not so well known as a golf region. Over 10 places a short distance from Biarritz. Can be combined extremely well with sightseeing or shopping in the region. Eg here in St Jean de Luz with many great little boutiques in the old town of this seaside resort with golf. Nivelle is located directly with a view of St Jean de Luz and the port. It's fun playing golf. Space is very varied. But better to play it with cart. It goes up and down a few holes. Lane 4 crosses the driving range. You have to ring the bell. Unfortunately, a train passes the noise level of the motorway. But that is compensated for by the calm at other holes. A penalty due to the proximity to the city, but which is clearly offset by the other advantages. The course was in good condition despite a previous rainy season in France. Many holes are defended by clever bunkers. A knowledgeable teammate helps. Overall, an attractive alternative to the other places in the region. The combination with sightseeing and shopping is a trump card, especially in St Jean de Luz. Similar to the neighboring San Sebastian in Spain. A trump card: the friendliness of the reception and the extremely funny bartender.

EXCELLENT - VERY RECOMMENDED

Field to enjoy, sometimes demanding, highly recommended. Other facilities very well, in addition to the treatment by all the staff, very nice and willing, especially what you value when you are in the first visits. You should not miss knowing it and enjoy it. Very well located

Magnificent field in southern France
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 27, 2014
I'm a semi-professional player (hcp 0.8) and I can say two good things about this field..
The 18-hole course is very difficult: despite its aesthetic appearance and garden, small size presents greens very well defended by bunkers estratégimente distributed and complicated Stances fairway. The rought maintain an exacting standard apparently due to the carelessness of the team of gardeners who also felt in the condition of the greens.
The entire field, except the 14th hole transmits the feeling of being isolated from the world.
In short, a very FUNNY parcour near the lovely seaside town of St. Jean de Luz.
Negative Note: Madam presented as a club manager, extremely rude and unfriendly. The rest of the Staff Club, very careful.
Restaurant very nice and spacious terrace overlooking the countryside, with a good deal of Basque-French products.
Nice treatment in contrast to the Madam (Maria Luisa)
