Located just 20 minutes from Nantes, UGOLF Nantes Carquefou is set within the prestigious 67-hectare grounds of the Château de l'Epinay, a designated historic monument. Designed by Martin Hawtree in 1993, the 18-hole course (Par 72) winds through a landscape featuring centennial trees and gently undulating terrain. Water hazards, including small streams and ponds, add both beauty and strategy to the game. The facility includes comprehensive training areas and a welcoming clubhouse restaurant.

A relaxed round of golf

The Nantes Carquefou Golf Club is - like about 60 other courses in France and Spain - a member of the Ugolf Group and can be reached primarily via their homepage. The course requires some concentration and strategy because of the doglegs and water hazards. But even if a shot lands offside, you often still have the chance to save your score. The first 9 holes are designed as a parkland course. The back nine run very nicely in slightly hilly terrain, often with old oak trees. The distance markings on the fairways were missing, so better take a range finder with you! The greens are in good condition and not overly complicated. The service in the clubhouse is friendly. The restaurant makes a nice and uncomplicated impression - although we only had one drink there.
Overall a very enjoyable day of golf.
