Characteristics
This course shows the careful design of the famous golf-course architect Donald Harradine and is situated on a 1,100-ft high plateau in the Saargau. We were given a warm welcome and played 18 holes on the beautifully laid out, well-maintained, varied course. The greens were in great condition.

A great layout, with challenging doglegs, crests, dips, etc. Always accompanied by mature trees. Very varied.
The first 9 lanes in particular are quite hilly, so using an e-trolley or e-cart is recommended here. Directly at lanes 2 and 3 you play down nicely. This is followed by deductions from aisles, on partially wide fairways, so that the fun is maintained. Optically very beautiful.
On the back 9, the signature hole, hole 15, comes into play. From the green you have a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
From the terrace of the clubhouse you have a beautiful view over the pond to the green of hole 18. The restaurant's cuisine is highly recommended.

Hot summer or not, but here we are talking about not maintaining a "golf course". Fairways may have fallen victim to summer.
