Excellent design that can be played several time

We played this course twice. It’s long from the back tees, but also from the red for ladies.
The grees where in good condition but would have expected them to be faster.
The fairways have an unusual sort of grass. You get divitos on almost every shots. This explain why you are requested to take a sand bootle with you to repair your divots.
The green fee is €55 for hotel guest.
Overall the place is beautifull.
The restaurant is close after 2:30pm ago has not been renovated yet.

Excellent overall experience

Golf course is typical Nicklaus, wide off the tee and lots of sand and tough approaching the greens. Day the we played it was in very good condition, although the greens were a little bumpy, but we played in the afternoon. Nice clubhouse, although we didn't take advantage of all they had to offer, staff was very friendly and accomodating. Nice pace of play, overall a highly positive experience, would certainly go back and recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful

The four of us played on a sunny November day. The reception in the secretariat and restaurant was very friendly and welcome. The prices for everything are very fair. Unfortunately, the old balls were still on the driving range.
The place is in very good condition.
One of the best places to play at this time of year.
Would play the course again at any time and recommend it.
See you again!!

Perfectissimo

The course is incredibly well maintained, rarely seen in Italy, especially considering the current irrigation options. Super nice, generous fairways and very directional stability, not lightning fast greens. Topographically not stunning, since everything is relatively flat and with little vegetation, but nice design and especially on the back nine very long, but forgiving. Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff throughout the facility, from reception to the pro shop to the ranger. The restaurant is simply outstanding, there is no other way to say it. Bravo e complimenti, we will definitely be back very soon!

Good offer

The place has quite long lanes, relatively many bunkers and water hazards. The faireays well maintained and the greens in good condition.
The restaurant is attractive with an Italian menu. GutekEkKompak

In the top 50 Italy

The title "average place" is highly inaccurate, none of the courses we know from the master are at this level. The number of bunkers on this course alone is more than above average - 147.
The character of the course cannot be compared with the old historical ones in Northern Italy.

Corona takes us back to our beginnings, Italy was then - in spring and autumn - the most already golf Mecca.

This was our first Jack Nicklaus course we played, shortly after it opened in 1993. It was also his first course built in Italy, a blueprint of the US courses Target Golf requires. Son Jack Nicklaus later worked in Arzaga together with Gary Player. We were very impressed because we had never seen such bunker landscapes - sometimes real orgies. As always when Jack Nicklaus builds, enormous amounts of material are moved, here too.

In the meantime we know over a dozen courses for which he sharpened a pencil. It is always a special experience to play on his courses; he is one of the Big Five as a golfer and designer.

Now we are here again, want to settle our bills that this course served us.

It is a demanding circolo if you are out for par, the holes measure an average of more than 360 meters.

Time and again, a solid, sometimes courageous, first and second blow is required. Trees are hardly ever involved, but plenty of bunkers and sometimes water - like in Florida - waiting for the balls. The fairway bunkers are masterfully placed - in the drive landing zone. If you don't hit the fairway from the tee, you are almost always in the sand. Hole 14 is the one with the most bunkers worldwide - over 25.

The layout is very good, exciting but demanding - well modeled. Great undulating greens can quickly lead to despair, if they are quick, ruin the score. If you hit one of the many bunkers it becomes difficult to play the par, at some holes it is gone.
We think the run on the second nine is awesome, no par 4 does not scratch the 400 meter mark. Hole 17, a par 5, wants to see the birdie, quite feasible in good conditions - it will be very demanding, because water is involved twice.

In the beginning, the maintenance on our rounds was at a very high manicure level, today not - it's a shame. This Circolo really deserves a little more attention.

The clubhouse has always been a topic of conversation. We were not always satisfied with the gastronomy. The hotel is okay - have stopped here several times - the atmosphere is a bit cool and sober.

As an overall package, five stars would really be in order if the maintenance would meet the requirements - the reputation of Jack Nicklaus - and the catering would fit.

The system is represented in the Top 50 of Italy, is currently only just a fit - that's our opinion. Not all of them awarded five stars, the lot had to decide four or five.

Average Rank

We played the course in mid-October 2020 and were not enthusiastic about the course maintenance. The fairways were quite used and had a lot of bumps. The discounts were "natural" and needed a caring hand. In contrast, the greens were in perfect condition and very directional. The Jack Nicklaus design is unspectacular apart from a few holes and with many bunkers there is no danger even with different levels of play. We started on hole 10 and it was jammed right from the start - there was no marshall on hole 1 either to speed up the flow of the game. Pity!

Catastrophic experience

Even the first contact with Le Robinie was negative. An absolutely arrogant Caddy Master gave in front of the clubhouse only in a few words and obviously reluctant information. The place is in a very bad condition. Overnight, just thousands of liters of water are tipped on the fairways and greens. The next day, everything is wet, teeming with mosquitoes and it grows everywhere string grasses and other weeds. Well-groomed scarifying seems to be a foreign word here. The Vorgreens are littered with brown spots, the greens themselves bumpy and inconsistent.
LeRobinie is a prime example of mismanagement and the downfall of a once very beautiful investment.
Once very nice storage.

Top facility in Milan

In the beautiful large clubhouse you will be greeted by very friendly staff. Right next to it there is a hotel, where you can stay very cheap. In between there is an interesting little pitch and putt course with 18 holes. The Championship Course is the only one in Italy built by Jack Nicklaus. He delights from the first to the last track. I've rarely played a seat that has so far exceeded my expectations. Strategically placed water hazards and countless bunkers, the signature of Jack Nicklaus is clearly visible on each lane. I would like to come back tomorrow.

5 stars for the square, 3 for the clubhouse

The golf course is very nice, well maintained, sporty demanding, playable well for every game, great design by Jack Niklaus. The place must have been played. The clubhouse and the menu are not worthy of the place - unfortunately. Staff is friendly, rooms are good with very good beds.

Even after 4 times playing more interesting and casual

We are here for a week and today the fourth round turned. The long course offers some challenges and remains still very fair. I immediately a few favorite holes: 4.9, 14,17 and 18 are really nice and challenging. It is a small square where risk can pay off what I really like.
We can not say much about the system, mainly playing golf here. But the place you should come play safe!

The name alone is not enough!

On the whole, disappointing. Certainly a cultivated plant and many imposing bunker obstacles, but it was already. Compared to many other places of interest comes on no true joy. Can one who plays, but you do not!
On top of that overpriced at 70 € on a Monday.

Nice but boring...

Very nice staff, especially the dedicated Greenkeeper!
The holes 9 and 10 around the lake are beautiful, otherwise boring place... very well-kept area... Wardrobe leaves to be desired... pool stinks of chlorine...
Turn-offs on arrival: It will be noted that one may not be in the car... too dangerous!
Conclusion: After Bogogno and Castelconturbia a disappointment!

Golf layout as in America

The 3 course in 4 days next Bogonio and Conturbia. From state certainly the best of the 3 Plätz in February 2016. Greens were up to 2-3 in great shape quickly and linientreu, Fairway still brown from the summer / autumn. Place as mentioned wide and typical Ami layout (much rebuilt). For EUR 60 midweek very fair. Restaurant as always in Italy at 14.00, there is only the small card with Sandwich. Clearly play all starting at 8:00 and at 12:00 in the clubhouse... but otherwise top. The place is just not just in a nice area but on the pitch you get it slightly with. Gladly again when in the region.

Jack Nicklaus "Stadium Course"

Le Robinie can not quite keep up with its diverse historic neighbors in terms of landscape and design well. My taste but Jack Nicklaus has taken. I like "Stadium Courses" in which the fairways are located in pits and meander through the countryside. Except for a few water hazards one has to fear from the tea really only the very many bunkers.

A couple of beautiful views are of course also still here, especially 17/18 are nicely placed around a lake. This view has also made the resort rooms, Golf Pur! But my favorite hole is the hole 4: A par 4, along a lake with an elevated green and about 10 bunkers in front of it. The highest bunker located but on hole 9, which is at least 3 feet high.

Especially liked me the place condition the end of November. Despite freezing overnight the place was the next day dried again quickly and the fairways of the season really perfectly maintained. So Golf also makes winter fun!

On the Internet you will find something crisscrossed opinions to the hotel or the resort (directly at the square). We have spent the night at the resort. The rooms are very old fashioned, for a short golf trip but through out functional and especially clean. For the price I do not expect. Therefore I do not understand the many negative reviews.

The place gets 5 stars from me, because I got exactly what I expected and was even a pleasant surprise. That this is not St. Andrews, should be clear.

Golf-luck by chance

Booked Wg. EXPO apartment in Busto Arsizio. Jack Nicklaus- golf course discovered: well-kept fairways and greens. Unusual part (pot) bunker for practicing. For better golfers exciting to play from the white tees. Will come back...

Very well maintained

A place for my gusto, beautiful drives required and the approach is sometimes quite sporty (well-defended greens). Clubhouse and the system is maintained, restaurant with good food. Was a surprise because I was skeptical at first of the directions here.

Worth playing even in cool weather

A nice place to be, without starting time, it announced in February the chance to play the course. friendly staff, discounted green fees, there was still snow on 2 greens. good after the round in the restaurant. the only downside was that it was at the various discounts small bottles filled with sand, with which you should fill the divots, rather than travel the lined divots? if that is the course maintenance? This went so far that my italian playing partner asked if we should ask for a reward as a gardener :-)

Great room design!

The place is nicely laid out and has many very nice holes. Unfortunately, by the way green to the next tee are virtually non-existent or marked!

Interesting, but somehow Standard

The place is clean and sporty interesting. Just the handwriting of Jack Nicklaus calls the player (how many holes there are already Par4, which may have 27 bunkers, one of which, depending on skill level, up to 20 can come into play?).

The place is a typical parkland course, nice, but standard, so I would not go there because of him.
