Played on June 19,2020. The flat golf course is located a little north of the Ruhr area a few kilometers away from the A3 in absolute tranquility and nature (including peaceful muskrat rats). The 18 lanes are on the first 9 in a somewhat older part with some tall trees and on the back nine in a somewhat newer part, more with more water hazards (lane 15 with island green) and higher rough and above all more doglegs (lane 13 with double dogleg) divided up. Overall, an exciting mix with some challenges that advise strategic play, but is also suitable for higher HC. Sometimes one or the other tree is in the way on the fairway or in the direction of play. The condition of my game was absolutely in order, the greens were very good, fast and faithful. The game operation at my game on a Friday afternoon was brisk but not overcrowded. The members were nice, let me play through quickly as a single player and greeted friendly. Due to the corona, start times are also required here, which is probably not the case otherwise. The standard green fee of € 55 on weekdays and € 70 on weekends is fine. Unfortunately, you do not pay a € 10 surcharge if you do not have an "r" in your ID card. However, there is a sundowner tariff at least on weekdays from 5pm. At the WE there are restrictions on the tee times for guests during peak times without member accompaniment. The secretary was very nice and explained everything to me as a guest. The clubhouse made a solid impression, the changing rooms and sanitary rooms were in order, the restaurant is obviously used and actively used by the members. The round in the GC Hünxerwald can definitely be recommended by me.
