Was in Valais for a week at the end of July. All my friends had previously raved about Sierre, Leuk and, to a lesser extent, Crans. So I (HC 12) tackled the course in Sion completely impartially and with little credit. However, I realized very early on that I was finding something very special here. It may well be that the design is not exactly PGA level, and there are always naggers, and the place is labeled as boring, but the state of care was amazing. I have actually never seen fairways that are equal in Switzerland. These Fairwas are some of the best that I have been able to play on in my almost 20-year golfer career (Abu Dhabi, Los Angeles Riviera Country Club better). So folks, Sion is an absolute secret guy. In addition, the clubhouse is very modern, the staff in the restaurant is very friendly and the kitchen is excellent. Sion again and again!!!
