Strange golf course

The best part: The reception was very friendly, and the €41 green fee for 18 holes in high season is sensational. I should have been warned, though. My father taught me that if it's free, it's free. The condition of the course is appalling. All the fairways are overgrown with weeds, several tee boxes are covered with artificial turf, some greens are covered in pine needles, several tee shots must be played blind, large sections of the course are hard, stony ground, the signage is poor, and the tee markers are ancient, to name just a few. The course certainly has potential, but it would need to be redesigned by a first-class golf course architect. This is probably not economically feasible, but it would have its appeal. As it is, it's only a mediocre course that you won't have to play twice.

Although this course has a club, it is a "course municipale" and belongs to the region. Surprisingly busy even during the week, but the players are disciplined and very friendly. Very interesting facility that actually offers everything, high tees, long lanes and tricky water issues, it's fun to play this course. We played the course on July 17th, 2020. The course is very varied with lots of water and partly higher tees. The fairways are wide, but often require a tactical game. The greens are sometimes not directly playable, undulated, not very large and therefore require a very precise game and very good putting skills for a good score.
The condition of the course was excellent! The layout and the landscape were beautiful - a great place! The green fee, however, was very cheap for the region. Highly recommended!
