In the Canadian wine-growing region - the wines taste excellent - there is a large number of good golf courses.
Gallaghers Canyon has two:
- Gallagher's Canyon - 18 holes - Par 72 - 6902 yards
- Pinnacle - 9 hole - Par 32 - 1984 yards
Gallaghers Canyon is a beautiful and challenging golf course. Many trees line the holes and nevertheless it is mostly an open place. Usually enough space is available to allow the driver to work properly. Moderate to orderly terrain transitions - up and down - accompany the players.
The hole 12 is mentioned in the book by Jeff Barr - 1001 Golfholes - the best golf holes in the world. It is a good and exciting par 5.
Hole 13 offers a great view into the valley and down into the canyon.
The greens are quite large, weak to moderate onduliert and good to play.
It was a pleasure to play here. The course is listed in the top 30 of British Columbia.
We were not so convinced and did not agree. The layout is good, the space management has led to discussions.
