Actually a very nice course. If only it weren't for the arrogant members. As guest players we recently had to experience standing behind a very slow flight (club members) for 15 holes. There was no sign of any indication that they would let us play through, even though there was no one in front of the flight. Apparently no one learns etiquette anymore! Apparently you don't need green fees here either.

When I booked yesterday, I asked if we would get a 30% discount on the green fee and was told yes. When we arrived today, we were told no. They could have been generous and let us play at a discount because of the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, they decided to be petty.
Apart from that, club members (?!) were greeted by name and served during our conversation. We were simply ignored. The phone rang several times.

...no hole is the same as the one before, the par 4 holes are almost exclusively short and can be reached in regulation even after a mediocre tee shot, the par 5 holes are more challenging. Mostly a relaxed game in lush vegetation - in which you can also lose balls - that's not the case - but no one has to be a distance hunter here.
We found the very slow greens a bit problematic during our visit in mid-May, but the wonderful gastronomy made up for it. All in all, a good course with some beautiful views and holes that will stay in your memory.

Played in July 2019 as part of the Audi Quattro Cup. The place was in top condition, the dryness elsewhere was imperceptible.
From yellow the course is not overly long, but because of very varied fairways, some doglegs or narrow landing zones consistently interesting to play. The greens are not overly fast, very consistent and due to some breaks and slopes quite sophisticated.
The kitchen was excellent in halfway as well as evening meals.

I was part of a short break in Schaufling and could play the course by accident with a board member. This resulted in interesting and amusing conversations about the place. However, my ball did not really do the recommended line of play.
The course is hilly but to cope without E-Trolley for intermediate cyclists.

Deggendorf have recently within the last 2 times BGV-team tournament. The Clubhouse "enthroned" above the idyllic place with great views of the Bavarian Forest and the greens of holes 15 & 18 The place is indeed hilly, but to cope well with an electric trolley. Very good maintenance condition, some large greens. Overall rather short holes that you should play with "brains" but because some water, tight landing zones or "natural areas" complicate the game. Overall a very nice place!
