fun to play
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 21, 2015
a well maintained hilly golf course, nice layout, nice to play. it's an old course with old trees, and they make some fairways very narrow. keeping the ball straight is essential. some very long par 3 (up to around 220m, from yellow marker). definitely worth to play.

Nice place with beautiful trees
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 9, 2024
As a golf tour operator, I visited Asturias in June 2024 to assess the potential of the area. The green fees are cheap everywhere, here too only € 60 for 2 (!) players. The course itself is well maintained, the greens are top! Unfortunately, you miss the water hazards a little here, as on most other courses, but the course itself is in very good condition, the bunkers are also neatly maintained. The course belongs to the municipality and, as far as I know, is financed through club memberships. Green fees are reserved, but only at short notice in advance.
The staff was super friendly and spoke English (not a given in Asturias).
The food in the restaurant was excellent! Fresh tuna and a gachopo - top notch! Plentiful and inexpensive and super quality. Unfortunately it was a bit difficult to order if you don't speak Spanish. The staff had absolutely no English, but they were all the friendlier and helpful! The toilets were very clean.
Unfortunately, there are only 2 club rental sets in the whole club. They have 6 buggies. Lanes 11/12/13 are a bit oddly positioned. The lanes cross each other, so you have to watch out for low-flying balls from the rear flight.
All in all, a good place in great condition. If the service and facilities were also top-notch, it would get a 5-star rating. But in any case, highly recommended!

A beautiful garden
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 10, 2024
Played on May 9th and 10th, 2024. Traditional, beautiful and well-maintained 18-hole golf course surrounded by many old trees. A must for nature lovers.
Despite a lot of rain in the last few days, there is little water build-up on the fairways due to the hilly landscape. Long fairways, often with slopes.
Greens are very well maintained and guarded by many small bunkers, rather few water hazards.
Very friendly staff. Guests should ideally make reservations by phone 48 hours in advance. The green fee for guests of €80 is reasonable for a course with this reputation.
If you are in the area of Oviedo or Gijon, this golf course is always worth a visit.
