The 9 holes in the pine forest are tricky and varied, set in beautiful natural surroundings and require precise iron play, which is a challenge in strong winds. Unfortunately, I didn't manage that so well today. In any case, they'll definitely stay with me. The second 9, however, is not only very flat but also lacks trees. There are only a few moats. So, 5 stars for the forest and 2.5 stars for the open area. The clubhouse and the overall appearance contribute to my 4 stars. The course is very popular due to its location in a vacation home area.

A very friendly welcome and a great clubhouse with a wide selection of drinks and food. Holes 1-9 in the forest are excellent and challenging, but unfortunately, the lack of rain is noticeable on the fairways. From hole 10 onwards, it's very open and difficult to play in windy conditions. Overall, though, highly recommended.

The clubhouse is very attractive and the reception was friendly. The course of the fairways has obviously been changed, as the first 7 fairways run through the forest. These first fairways are very interesting to play with beautiful undulations, slight doglegs and partially divided fairways, and require good control of direction and length. You can safely leave the driver in your pocket. The quality of the fairways and greens is generally very good, although the tees on the par 3 fairways have suffered greatly. Even though the greens are fast, they often do not run true to track due to fungal infestation (?). From hole eight you leave the forest and have a view of the North Sea on some holes. Despite wide fairways lying directly next to each other and a few moats, there is no links golf feeling, even though the wind (especially at the end of October) plays a major role here. The fairways are absolutely flat, there are no dunes or undulations, just a few small trees between the fairways. The course of the holes was not clear to me on several occasions and I found the game to be monotonous. If I had been able to play the first nine holes twice, it would have been 4 stars, but it is 3 in total.
