A day long challange
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed December 15, 2012
Played on the first Sunday in September 2012, after what the starter Mr., Donnellan (a lovely man) called their worst rainy season ever. Too true, the buggy stalled in the wet bog twice, everything was mushy.
If you want a challange this is it, bring plenty of golf balls as this course will eat them up. If you have a vacation attitude this course will provide many fun memories,
For the serious golfer, it might be a day you'll want to forget.

I visited Galway a year ago now with a few friends and played four different courses. Luckily the tee times were in the afternoon so rather then lounge around the hotel all morning myself and a friend went and played this golf course pretty much every day, and what a course honestly you just have to play it! It starts off with a links feel but trundels through parkland and heathland before reverting back to links. It really was a joy to play and the hospitality was to the highest order.

Ok

The place is well maintained, the layout not very appealing. Greens really ok and relatively fast. The leihschläger were old and there was not even a driving range, so greenfee paid and with old bats directly loose. In wind and rain it was challenging to play. Unfortunately alone, since the place really is not overrun - a pity! Would not like to play alone! Conclusion: ok - but also no more!

Pure Nature

Pure nature. Good layout. Fairways compared to other places not very well maintained. The last three holes quite difficult to play! Challenging.

Class!

Everything is great here! Warm welcome, beautiful and well-kept top place for 30 euros! play Absolutely. Good signs, some difficult reductions, but to play for any handicap. The bunkers were difficult as wet and not optimally maintained. No idea why in August and in glorious weather hardly players in place were.

A beautiful place!

Alternation rich fairways just on the back nine with a great view. Wide fairways as well as tricky, narrow lanes offer all golfers a lot of fun. The paths were well maintained, and in between could be cleaned up a bit. The clubhouse offers a restaurant with a great view of the entire space, the interior could use a slight "FreshUp".

Absolutely great

A fantastic golf course in an idyllic setting. Unfortunately I have played against him once but this evening and this is a great time to also enjoy the great light. It has hardly any people, which is absolutely incomprehensible, because the reception about the course and the green fee rates, there is absolutely nothing that one has to hold back.

A great place

In the parking lot the first thing that strikes you that there are hardly any cars. If you've played the course, you do not understand why here are barely average golfers and other places are full.
There should be major problems with mosquitoes at certain times, I have not experienced it (in May). Therefore, the Irish avoid the place.
The place is just fantastic. Varied with hilly sections. Here, the right strategy is important. Therefore, you play the place rather better the second time around.
The restaurant is ok, but has probably seen better days.
