This is a great golf course

The short par 4 first is a cracking golf hole. Steep up-hill tee shot to a multi level fairway then a wedge to a very high green. A great start to a great course. No. 3 is 600 a meter par 5 snaking down hill past a lake to a lovely green by the vinyard. No. 4 is a narrow drive between the vines... it goes on and on. All great holes. Great greens, all in great nick when we played in July 2012. The clubhouse has a good value buffet every day. Very good food. Hire clubs are very average so bring your own if possible. Then there was the 9th... steep downhill dogleg. 5 Iron to stop short of the road, then an 8 iron or so to a green surrounded by a ditch. Effectivly an island green. Great golf, swing by this way if you can..

Sometimes it goes steeply upwards (hole 1), sometimes it goes dizzyingly downwards and always up and down. Never boring and always challenging. Great golf course. Is worth playing. Only accessible on foot for mountain goats. Place is well maintained, but not the last high-end level that some may insist on. Everything was right for me, including the “19th hole”.

Have played the place on 23.8.17. The course is very beautifully laid out, the first 9 holes are very demanding, especially if you run them. Recommendation for all who are not well on foot - Buggy hire. Fairways are very soft and pleasant to play despite high temperatures. The greens are in very good condition, very faithful and bite extem. The second nine holes are flatter but still interesting. On the other hand, there are also a few negative points as follows: Balls can be cleaned only on the one and on the ten. Distance information is only sporadic. Unfortunately, distance meters also do not work because the flagsticks do not reflect the laser. However, this has happened to us in all places in the north( Estela, Amarate and Vidago.
The clubhouse has a very pleasant ambience with very friendly staff.
Finally a beautiful and successful golf day about 1 hour by car from Porto.

I played on 08.11.2016 for the first time the place.
