🏌️Peaceful golfing 20 miles north of Victoria

Arbutus Ridge deserves an overall rating of 4.5 stars and is a beautifully situated campsite with impressive views across the Satellite Channel and the surrounding mountains. The Back Nine, in particular, are a true scenic highlight – varied, peaceful, and with some spectacular elevation changes.

The layout is fair, but quite challenging: precise course management pays off. The greens were in very good condition during my visit – fast, but true to play. The tees and fairways could be maintained more consistently in a few places, but this hardly detracts from the overall impression.
Occasionally you'll see deer coming out of the woods to graze, seemingly accustomed to the golfers. The scenery is truly impressive, wonderfully relaxed, and peaceful.
The Gee was at $96 over the weekend, but I got a discount thanks to a club member who gave me a ride.

The clubhouse with its "Satellite Bar & Grille" is a lovely place to end a round of golf – good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a great view of the course. All the staff were friendly and helpful, which rounded off the positive overall impression.
The pro shop is well-stocked and you can buy logo balls, shirts, souvenirs or any missing equipment for the round.

Conclusion: A varied and scenic course with plenty of charm and fair challenges. Ideal for anyone who wants to combine golf and nature.
