Impressive, athletically challenging parkland course

Le Val is a highly athletically demanding parkland course with varied holes and some differences in elevation, but also spectacular views over the course. All golf skills are really tested. Without electrical support, you're pretty exhausted after 18 holes. The choice of tee box also hides a difficult (white) or more manageable (yellow) layout at par 73. Black is then played at the annual challenge tour event. We were very impressed with the course, only the rather slow and in some cases apparently freshly aerated greens (which was not mentioned when we checked in) spoiled the fun somewhat. My favorite holes are #3, #5, #8 and #10. The 10th (away from the clubhouse) and the 18th tee with a great view back towards the clubhouse are spectacular. A clear must in the north of France for real golf fans!
