Beautiful Relais de Charme set amidst an enchanting landscape surrounded by the Alps Mountains and green hills, the Sina Villa Matilde is only 35 km away from Turin, the first capital of Italy. This region is known for the medieval art and its gastronomic pleasures including famous wines. The Relais is located in a lush private park with secular trees where guests can spend a peaceful and relaxing stay. From the expansive central hall, with its decorated dome and doorway opening directly on to the plantain and chestnut trees of the private park, through to wide hallways and staircases, ornate halls and marble fireplaces, the hotel offers up all the original splendour of an 18th century country residence. Relais Villa Matilde's stables host the gourmet restaurant, while the ancient limonaia houses the full service health spa, fitness centre and beauty farm, where guests pamper themselves with saunas and massages.
The original orchard area is the site of the fine outdoor pool, which is complemented by a poolside bar and restaurant. There is also an outdoor tennis court. Golf and gastronomy in Piedmont.

The Villa Mathilde is quite a special place and has retained a lot of its former 18th Century grandeur without losing its charm. The staff were very attentive to our needs and the service was always with a smile. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was very good and I can recommend the local wines as being good value for money. Breakfast on the other hand was a little limited in choice of food and there is a supplement for egg dishes.
There are lots of good restaurants within 15 minutes drive around Ivrea and the hotel staff are very conscious of the guests' needs to try somewhere different and without asking give a list of those local restaurants and readily make your reservations. I thought that this was a very good point. For a really extraordinary dinner in an original ambience, try the Agriturismus le Mulin - an old converted water mill where the produce of the owner's farm appears transformed on the table - only 15 minutes' drive from the Villa Mathilde; 4 courses 50€ for two with wine and grappa! Unbeatable value.
There are many outside and covered terraces around the Villa and there is a big pool which has a more municipal than a resort feel to it.
Our room was very spacious with a high ceiling and a large bathroom - the shower panel on the bath was not in great condition and the washing facilities could do with renovation.
For the golf: we played the Robert Trent Jones course at I Roveri - a truly challenging course - expect to be punished for going off the fairway - the rough swallows balls and with a heavy dew in the morning you dropped a shot. The clubhouse and the facilities are top class. We also played Biella La Betulle which is a very beautiful parkland course and was better suited to our level of play - I highly recommend it.

How do I book my trip online?

Can I cancel or rebook my trip?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. Up to 35 days before departure of your trip cancellation is free of charge for you, unless there are other cancellation conditions listed on your offer and invoice. We have a few hotels that do not offer free cancellation when using an early bird discount. However, more over 90 percent of our partner hotels allow free cancellation up to 35 days before arrival. After that, staggered cancellation fees apply.
