Kings Camp Private Game Reserve

Situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Kings Camp faces an open savanna plain with a waterhole, which is frequented by a wide variety of wildlife by day and night. As part of the greater Kruger National Park, which covers an area of 2.2 million hectares, Kings Camp offers a wealth of bio-diversity. With access to 100 km² of traversing big game abounds, with each day bringing something different whilst exploring the endless fascination of Africa’s wildlife in an open Land Rover.

Nine generously spacious Colonial Suites and two exquisite Honeymoon Suites are luxuriously equipped with air-conditioning, Victorian ball-and-claw bath, indoor and outdoor double shower, fully stocked mini-bar and private verandah with a hammock overlooking the bush. Beautifully decorated in dark tones of wood and thatch, off-setting the natural colours of the bush, the nine, generously spacious air-conditioned Suites come complete with all luxurious amenities.

Kings Camp offers a number of comfortable living areas for you to just sit back, relax and soak up the tranquillity of the African bush. A thatched viewing deck overlooking a very active waterhole and an open plan lounge, and bar are the ideal place to see out the heat of the day, while sipping an ice cold cocktail. Alternatively, a dip in our swimming pool is maybe a better option for some.

Our spacious dining room offers stunning views of the bushveld, while enjoying the sumptuous meals offered at Kings Camp.

A library full of verse and History awaits those yearning for knowledge of the African continent, filled with a collection of fictional and non-fictional books. It offers a setting of peace and tranquillity, where you are welcome to browse through various books and novels.

For those wanting to keep in touch with family members back home, there is a desktop with wireless internet connection available in the library 24 hours. A television is also available for those wanting to keep up to date with the latest news or sports game.

Along with a well-equipped gym, Kings Camp offers an array of pampering treatments – a must in completing your all-round rejuvenating safari experience.

During the day, guests are welcome to browse through our well-stocked and air-conditioned curio shop, where you can select gifts and African memorabilia for your friends and family back home. The shop is stocked with an assortment of beautiful safari gear as well as local arts and crafts.
