A Walk in the Park (nice but hilly)

Played in early July 2023, HCP 15

A nice, very quiet parkland facility, in which some cute Bambis (fallow deer?) run around freely. There are many beautiful, large, old trees - a few also on the fairways, mostly on the edge of the fairway, but also there like "in the game".

Apart from these trees, the hilly terrain (it's constantly uphill/downhill) is the biggest challenge, at least for me as a lowland hacker. A cart is recommended!

Although the course is quite short (approx. 5,400m from the regular YELLOW tees), it is very varied and not easy to play.

In the typical landing zones there are often expansive bunkers. However, the sand is mostly very playable - fine and uniform.

Water also comes into play from time to time - especially directly in front of the clubhouse terrace, optically very beautiful ponds at the end of holes 9 and 18 are lurking for prey.

The greens are average fast, but also slightly "hilly" so that the balls are almost impossible to stop if you land on the wrong side of the hole. However, the condition is really very good!

Fairways and semi-rough, on the other hand, are unfortunately not always in the best condition - sometimes the ball is in a bare spot, on very tangled grass or in the divot.

Conclusion: A very nice and above all varied place. Almost four stars, gladly again if the opportunity arises. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 7 out of 10 points.)
