Characteristics

Turton Golf Club was founded in 1908 and is located to the north of Bolton, Lancashire on the edge of the West Pennine Moors. Predominantly a moorland course, it provides an excellent test of golf over 18 individual holes, with superb greens and breathtaking views across 5 counties.

The golf course measures 6,119 yards, par 70 (white tees) / 5833 yards, par 69 (yellow tees) for Men and 5,208 yards, par 70 for Ladies. The clubhouse offers excellent hospitality, fine wine and beers, bar snacks and meals. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this wonderful course and its many facilities.

Visitors to the course will be particularly well received by the resident PGA Professional, Sean Owen.

Our Club Captain John O'Hara & Lady Captain Jennifer Jones invite you to play golf at Turton Golf Club, a magnificent 18 hole golf course. With our superb greens we are regarded as one of the best golf courses in Bolton, Lancashire and the North West.

A full buggy service is available from the impressive Pro shop as well as an extensive range of golf items, practice areas and other golf related services. Golf Societies and other parties are most welcome. Golf days can also be booked via the General Office or Pro shop.

Mobile telephones may be used in the clubhouse, but they must be set to silent. They can be taken onto the golf course for emergency use only.
