Great golfcourse june 2-017

Santaburi was closed so we went here. At Santaburi the caddie drives you from ball to ball tells where to aim which club to use.. Here you drive yourself, make your own decision where to aim and which club you use. The faiways are more than wide anough the greens were very easy to play and the vieuws are spectacular. They serve excellent coffee and sandwiches. Read a complaint that you cannot see the flag from the Teebox. I advise these people to play midget glof. THe course is very challenging We enjoyed our 2 times 18 holes.

Nice panoramic hike

After playing the Santiburi Course twice, we felt like a little variety. In advance we were advised not to attend the Royal Course because it was neglected. We then went on the excursion anyway. In retrospect, and if you didn't expect much, the 2x9 holes were a very special experience. The spectacular sea view at a price of 3,800 baht for 2 people including the cart was worth the money. The greens and fairways were in fair condition. Many "blind tracks" with sometimes narrow fairways. Bunker neglected and hard. The ruin of the planned clubhouse is very unattractive, but was never completed due to lack of money. With the right attitude a nice day trip.

Cheap alternative

Royal Samui is a 9 hole course. Par 33, relatively short and quite challenging. Very hilly, with ravines and fairly narrow fairways. Take enough balls! Yes, the greens are not well maintained, but so what! You can borrow clubs, no problem and you drive - without caddies, is also fine. At the Pro-shop there is also a canteen, had different baguettes, absolutely good. For THB 5000 2 players play 18 holes including clubs and cart. Cash payment required. The journey needs a 4WD.
Beautiful landscape.

No madness

The best in advance: hardly any other players, friendly employees.
Definitely a cheaper alternative to a round of golf instead of having to dig deep into your pocket at GC Santiburi. Therefore, the 3rd star.
That was the positive.

Short, hilly, neglected and bad greens. The whole area seems grubby, I would never eat here.

Well

So the 9-hole course is wonderfully increased in the mountains and has fantastic views of the sea, and Lamai- Chaweng Beach! However, we had in the first two of our three weeks, more times still very strong rain, so the place was pretty "battered". The greens still looked pretty good, but rather taken the fairways. And then for a small 9-hole round in between times measly 55-60 euros were definitely me too much! (Green fee 900 + 400 + Cart Bat 600 THB) Too bad!

Golf and Fun

Certainly not the best place in Thailand. But for one round away from the "big names" definitely worth a round.
Call and get a blank, bats can be hired - I did not use but it was easy to choose from 10 sets. The lost balls and there were many, there in the clubhouse next to beer and really good coffee. No Caddy available and so it feht alone on the round.
Slightly sandy and dry, but great views and paths.
Unfortunately only had time for two rounds

Adventure Golf in the mountains

The second place on Koh Samui is a completely different number as Santiburri. Pickups for little money directly at the hotel and then you go into the mountains. There angkommen falls first not fertg Asked huge clubhouse eye astray. Green fee at the current simple club house / restaurant / per shop and go to the Card without caddy. Quiet book the same for 18-hole, the second round is then already much easier. The place is as described previously not easy to play. Really big fairways there are few, the landing areas should be already selected exactly. The tracks are not all visible and so many blind impact is needed. Greens in good condition, fast and hard. Play the course with mind, knock on it is futile.
Enough to take balls that disappear either side of the fairways Gen Valley, as well as liquid. After the round at the diner eat a little something and drink and the round has a beautiful finish.

A golf experience you must not miss

A 9-hole course, it has to be in any relationship and even after several rounds do not get bored. The tracks are rather short, but very tricky due to the hilly contours of the landscape and sometimes very limited landing zones and so for each class game a special experience with a high fun factor. Even the drive to the E-Cart is a plus here because it forms a rather goes up and down through jungle-like vegetation and on the other the wind brings pleasant cooling. Please do not ever chase only the ball, but also at times enjoy the magnificent views of the individual increased markdowns. Of the 2 you have for example a super view over the beaches of Lamai and Chaweng to the island Phagnan. The site is accessible only with 4x4 drive, but it is offered a very convenient pick up service, which has served us always reliable (on time and safe). The staff is always friendly products, even if not master all English fluently. By the way, is not the almost everywhere else requires mandatory caddy service here in Thailand, which makes the whole thing even priced lower. Possible short-term memberships also offer a very good price / performance ratio.

9-hole alternative to Santiburi Samui Country Club

Beautiful and varied golf course. Reached (yet) the usual Thai standards. Remains a 9 hole course for the time being. I have to wonder if last year's sinntflutartigen rainfall (floods) caused no lasting damage.
Travel by private car or taxi only with 4-wheel drive. RSG & C offers free shuttle service to)
