beautiful setting, bad conditions

it's an old stile golf course in a beatiful landscape, fun to play, very narrow at times. very hilly but still possible to walk.
the conditions though are very often bad. very muddy fairways, with very little grass. half of the greens were in bad condition. with this conditions the green fee is definitely too high priced.
clubhouse restaurant is excellent. a real surprise!

We played the Patz after a constant rain. This is definitely not recommended. Three days later a completely different picture emerged. Wonderfully playable. Very varied with some challenges. You can see the age of the place in every respect. Apparently the management has only limited financial means to maintain it. After all, the greens are well maintained and fast. The course is well integrated into the landscape and has some memorable holes such as B. a peninsula green. As it is relatively short, we recommend the Championstee. Prepare for a longer round as members are used to playing very slowly. The staff is friendly. Not a "must", but if you're already in the area and feel like playing golf, it's definitely entertaining.

You meet a really nice golf course with good fairways and greens (even after a long rainy season). the place is beautifully integrated into the landscape / forest, very hilly and wavy; great tees uphill and steep mountains.
That the fifth star is missing has to do only with the following: between tee and the bunkers around the greens there are hardly any obstacles (except side trees) and the greens are too shallow, so hardly a challenge.
