Perfect courses

In Margara you can find 2 amazing 18 holes courses, a good restaurant with italian specialities, swimming pool and tennis. The accomodation in Villa is very nice, like a small luxury hotel. Very good experience

Amazing golf course and atmosphere

Situated in the middle of the beautiful Piedmont countryside, Margara Golf Club boasts two 18 holes courses enjoyable for players of every level while appreciating the region's typical panorama. The very welcoming staff coupled with the family-like atmosphere of the club made us feel at ease and very relaxed (although the few glasses of Prosecco that we had on the terrace while admiring the sunset also helped). We decided to spend a night there in the "Foresteria" in order to have dinner in one of the many good restaurants surrounding the club. We left the next day after a highly recommended golf lesson and another 18 holes.

Will definitely come back! Probably during the truffle season!

A safe value for years

We played the Lolli-Ghetti course. The course is varied and challenging. BASICLY par can be played on every hole. The green bunkers are very fair and have allowed some par saves. The greens are very fast and stable, the pace is the same everywhere.
Culinary:
The Club Restaurant delivers wonderful Piedmontese food. For lunch there was a menu for 12 euros with pasta, beer and espresso. In the evening we treated ourselves to Vitello Tonnato and Carne Cruda as starters. As a main course we recommend the Milanese Fassona,

Not a parkland course

Played 10/3/23. In my opinion not a parkland course. Multiple tee shots against the slope (no more hills) or hit down and play up. Slightly rustic, different bunker sand, very thin, patchy fairways, hardly distinguishable from the side surfaces. There is no bench on the lap - but there are countless swarms of flies. (depending on the season?)

Heated 35 degree golf fun with a nice course and swarms of mosquitoes

I played the Lolli Ghetti course in early July. Outside temperature around 35°. That was also the reason why I decided on a kart. Green fee 60 euros (fair), karting 45 euros (excessively expensive). It's certainly possible to walk, but it's definitely hilly and I didn't see anyone walking. I enjoyed the space layout. It was nice to pop up with the driver. The fairways already had some bare spots, but with the 2022 drought you can turn a blind eye. Bunker sand rather hard but playable. Greens good!

Yellow hoses from irrigation systems lay across the green in two places. Of course, this is absolutely not clear at lunchtime and I have never experienced it.

I basically had fun but the mosquitoes were nasty. If you don't have golf-ready beekeeper protection equipment with you, you should bring liters of repellent with you. I'm not exaggerating! Swarms flew up in the shade under the trees like I've never seen on a golf course. So it's better to always place it in the middle of the fairway and stay in the bright sunlight. With the golf cart I was able to escape from the vermin at least from time to time. The only ball I lost was one that I had to give up looking for under trees after 10 seconds because the attacks were getting too big. Incidentally, there was also a plague of locusts on the country road to the square. I haven't stayed at the resort here and I'd rather not know what the evenings on a terrace would be like.

The clubhouse is very elegant in the venerable English style. The changing room was huge like in a swimming pool, showers (about 10) and towels available. I haven't eaten anything.

La Guazetta

Is clearly the B place The first 9 look nice but the 2.9 is very narrow and partly unfair.
Average care and the bunkers overgrown with weeds

Good complete package

The two courses in the resort are quite demanding, long and sometimes not easy to play. Impeccable greens, otherwise very well maintained. Manageable on foot. The autumn colors in October are wonderful. Very friendly and competent secretariat. Minuses: There is nowhere a toilet on either course and there are no lightning shelters either.

Everything is still fine

Played just before the 3rd lock down.
Room of the Foresteria large and clean Both places in very good condition, bunker loosened up, greens cleanly cut including Vorgrün Restaurant was very good and great wines from Piedmont at decent prices. Since we left early morning on Monday of the 3rd lock down, sandwiches were also made for us.

Italy pure

We played the course (Rosso) in 08/2020. The condition was very good, the greens very quickly. Some very nice and challenging tees and varied holes. Elevation differences are sometimes considerable, but a cart is not absolutely necessary. Very friendly secretariat, restaurant nothing special.

Beautiful plant

We played here on 10.10.2017. In view of the time and the previous dryness, the place is in a really good condition. We liked the place very much. The clubhouse is very nice. Service and friendliness. We like to come back here.

Beautiful, varied 36-hole course

Course Rosso: great parklandcourse with super fairways and neat greens, currently normal fast. The tracks are rather long but relatively easy to play because there is plenty of space. Layers under the trees are of course punished. But balls are always found.
Course Giallo: A rather open, wider, long course. The tree is still young, the fairways also in a top condition, the Greens slightly slower than on Rosso.
In both places many bunkers, which are however in a bad condition (partly hard as concrete).

Beautiful fast greens

Nice place. Well maintained. Not easy to play since very long and almost all the greens are well protected by many bunkers! The only downside was the restaurant! We wanted to go the round what food (15:01) and the kitchen was too

Golf Pass PUR

The fifth visit in Piedmont, the first in the GC Margara.
10 days at a very spacious, renovated us clean apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (5 minute walk to the clubhouse). Breakfast in the clubhouse good, dinner good to very good food at a fair price incl. Friendly service.
Driving range and practice facilities good.
Golf Course red: Great trees, place very varied, long play.
Golf Course Yellow: long playing Fantastic "Links" Course.
Both courses were in perfect condition and have submitted a general very neat impression.
All staff were friendly. The hotel room we could also visit and convinced.
We will be back definitely.

Also in the fall and high humidity is a beautiful place

So we played the course "rosso" in the first week of October 2015 after a rainy and fog in high humidity. Even under these conditions a beautiful parkland course with a very stately clubhouse. We drive alone all over the place and have the round very much. On a positive note, that the bunkers were prepared in the mornings despite special conditions. The square is also from yellow pretty long, but the wide fairways allow uninhibited T-Shot's.

Retired space

Have only played the Rosso is place is a very good condition, unfortunately not very demanding. Wide fairways, large semi plate greens to play everything nice in all, but rather for high handicappers. No loss of ball, harmless water holding a pensioner place. Rest makes a good and clean impression. Restaurant can not keep the good impression. Oddly the day off-because the place is probably closed properly... this Italian...

Hopp & Top

Beginning of September 9 per hole Giallo Rosso & played. Rosso maintained as already two years ago and to play well. Giallo with partially incomplete fairways. In my eyes, not really fair because always very tight landing zones are partially incomprehensible. In only 2-3 m distance then very high rough in the no ball is found. Good greens umd quickly. If possible prefer Rosso.

Golf at its finest

When: Early April 2014 Weather: sunshine Place: Corso Rosso, classic parkland course with mature trees. Built in 1972. For medium and low Hcp an experience. Staff in the Secretariat friendly. Green fee 40 € in the preseason WT.
Fairways: so far the finest I've played in Europe. Grass close up and well grown. Nursing top condition, also thanks to the mild winter.
Semi-rough: uniformly cut, tight, fast losing possession possible.
Greens: Airifiziert and sanded (usual at this season work) Still good playable, hard and fast.

I came back again

We played the course in September 2013, again, as it did in 2010 nice reception (highlight Ms. Acampora) quality of the restaurant very good, a change of menu items, friendly service, which sometimes made a Schwerz, good location status (persorso rosso) come around again to play here

Relaxed Golf

We played the beginning of May 2013, yellow course. The course was in good condition. However, I missed the colors of flowers, various plants and lovingly cared for details. The greens were in excellent condition, fast and difficult to read. A real interesting challenge. The course was not enough variety for me custody. In addition, the signs are bad, if it has any. This meant that every now and again appeared and some foreign flights played a track.
My conclusion: it is a well-to-play space forming but no feast for the eyes!

Beautiful and interesting place for golfers

Rosso Course: well-kept interesting place with rel. Fast and true greens. Played in early July, 2012. Because of the temperatures and the hilly conditioning Cart recommended. Nice reception at the Secretariat for 55 € instead of 45 €. Service in the restaurant quite rude.
For guests of some hotels in the area gibts green fee discount. Ask before!

Very nice place

Have played only 2x times the rosso, varied, wide fairways and no crowds. Wait staff not very friendly, ie you do not really feel like a guest. Otherwise, everything is ok, prices.

Margara Rate + Giallo Rosso

've Played places Rosso and Giallo early July 2011. Could start the morning without reservation immediately. Enjoyed a very relaxing round on Rosso. Roso is a beautiful parkland course. Very varied and exciting. Place showed up in great condition. In the rough, however, lurked some Moücken so mosquito repellent is recommended during this season. Giallo is to play open and here I was almost permanently tormented by mosquitoes everywhere. . Even with this protection was not so easy (it was on both courses with trolley on the way). In addition, the signage is sometimes irritating. Sekretäriat very nice and Ms. Acampora also speaks German (usually English). Eating good in the clubhouse. All in all great places but something nicer than Giallo Rosso. But not as described but 55 green fee € 45 EUR.

All right

The Patz was in excellent condition when I played it, very challenging, because you really need all clubs in the bag to get through the round. Friendly service, both in per Schop, as well as in the restaurant.
