Characteristics

The golf course is situated not even a 3 minutes' drive away from the city centre and nonetheless conveys the impression of being in the middle of nature. Worth mentioning is the putting at the 2nd green which offers an exceptional view on the roofs of the city and on the Dome of Zwickau.

The best greens in Unkreis of 100km

4.0 out of 5 starsReviewed December 14, 2012

I have played the course several times in recent years. In a relatively short time here a high quality, challenging 9-hole course was created.

Place State:
Generally very well maintained and the greens are especially unique in this area! Even in the late autumn of this year, they were still incredibly fast!

Course layout:
This year 3 new tracks have been added (1-3). Thus, the court has clearly gained in length and visual width - is now a Par70 course with nearly 5,700 Length (from Albrecht itself is not updated!).
With 2 x 500m and 400m Par5 Par4 now hitters come here of your costs.

The place is beautifully nestled in the rolling countryside (constantly uphill / downhill, many slopes).
Especially charming are the unspoilt in many places old and high trees is (for relatively new golf courses in East Germany even more rare) - so the discount of tea 1 by a nearly 100m long and fairly narrow range for good golfers to be major challenge.

Prove to be as challenging the deduction of tea and 6 of the 2nd Shock on 8, in which the ball must be played very precisely by 10m wide tree gaps, as well as the 7th Green that is very well defended by tall trees.

Gastro:
The club house is located in an old mining tower (which was probably once mining area here). The sun terrace next to one of the two putting greens and the service is nice, dine technically but please do not expect too much.

Directions:
5 minutes from the A72 motorway. Offers himself for me so super as always stop at when I'm on the way from Bavaria to Saxony.

Overall conclusion:
Especially for travelers like me with a manageable time (2h) a wonderful place.
I hope that those in charge here sometime still trust to the second 9 holes - Landscape and neighboring gravel pit pass loose more challenging 9 holes here - and then there's also the 5 stars from me.
