Good 9 Hole course requires good strategy

The golfclub is quite easily accessible either by car (10-15 minutes from central) or public transport (Bus 32A straight from Leopoldau station, and a few minutes walk).
Looks small and flat, but cannot underestimate due to bunkers and water hazards. Need a good strategy here with irons than longer shots with driver or wood to avoid difficult lies or hazards. Some pitch/chip are challenging too due to the trees and it requires a good practice and strategy to either fly over or between the trees. Loosing a ball is very easy at hole #1/#2 (just next to residential, and bushes on the left if you hooked), and #5 (next to the open farm) depending on the wind conditions/slice/hook. I've lost 3 balls at #5 tee, just because of the strong wind swept the ball to the farm mid flight (Ouch!). The bushes before the 90' fairway turn at the #5 is also a high risk of loosing a ball if it happen to drop there. Hole#1 is quite straight, but there is a pond just before the green, and need a strategy here than longer shots unless you are willing to loose your ball in the pond. For average -45hcp, it could be either boogey or double boogey here. Hole#2 is much easier and just a bunker before the green. Also either Par or Boogie is possible here. But the gound at the green is horrible if the grass is cut recently. Hole#3 looks easy but you have to make sure you can hit pass the pond in front of the green or avoid the pond by flying through the trees. And if you slice it, the bunker is waiting next to the green. Depending on the hcp, it could be either boogey or double boogey (and par for possibly good shots). Hole#4 is easy to play with long shots and less hazards other than the waste area between the #4 and #5 fairways. Hole#5 is quite long and nice but requires a very good strategy to reduce the number of strokes. Hole#6 seems very easy, but have to beware the trees depending on the club used, and also the danger of the water hazard just next to the green. (also making sure not hitting to the ducklings if they happen to be on the green...) Hole#7 is also quite interesting depending on where you tee off, as it might block the visibility to the pin if you don't hit from the far left since the bushes/small tress from the pond might be interfering the view. And it is very common requiring to shout "fore" here as the practice chip/pitch green is just next to the pin. They should put additional net instead of simple out of bound white paint line on the grass. Hole#8 is quite straight forward and provide different tee perspective, but the ground at the tee is a bit too hard. Hole#9 is also very nice with almost no hazards other than a big bunker on the right before the green. And the plums (i guess) from the small tree next to the tee is very sweet and taste really good! In conclusion, it is a very nice 9 hole course that can be completed with just around average 10-15 minutes for each holes, with several challenges and fun.
However, it is advisable to book the tee times carefully during the peak times/days, such as Saturdays or evening times in the weekdays, as other people will ask you to play faster regardless of their high handicaps (or may be just -54). The reason of that is partly contributed by the tee times which are just 10 minutes apart. It could have been much better if they make the tee times 15 or 20 minutes apart at least and everybody on the course can enjoy their game without any stress or inconvenient. With just 10 minutes apart, and if there is a group behind you, it might not be comfortable playing and would be quite difficult to find the ball buried in the long grasses or near the bushes during the limited time (particularly for the Hole#5 and #7). It just funny to see that the people who ask you to hurry up tend to use their drivers for this short course and they always hit not more than 15-30 meters with a big hook or slice... ironically. That kind of experience is not fun when you are trying to enjoy your game.
Also, while there are several nice players with single digit hcp or

City golf

An oasis of golfing peace and quiet in the bustling city. ideal for nine holes before work or a full game after work.
Not the longest course but some testy short holes which require accuracy and neat putting on lovely greens. The 9th par 4 is far from easy, where 4 is a good score and the dog leg par 5 is the signature hole, which requires some thought, reachable in 2 but high risk.
Add to this a bright modern clubhouse, lovely food and friendly staff and you have a gem in the heart of one of Europe's great capitals.

Keeping a long story short

The 9-hole course is located in the middle of Vienna, 1 PAR 5.2 PAR 4 and 6 PAR 3. The short game is very much in demand, beats between 90-110 meters you should have it in any case. Partial Mattenabschläge, good exercise facilities, secretariat nice, restaurant available. The hole 9 as PAR 3 with 180 meters does not quite fit into the space concept, whether the narrow overall space you can expect no architectural peculiarities. The bunkers are well placed. Negative: no dogs allowed on the course.

NO public area!!!

Unfortunately you can not play here without a club membership. So it's m. E. no public golf course. The only for information - a shame!

OK no longer unfortunately.

I find the place all right, especially the first five holes and hole nine. Since the change in Greenkeeping team also care condition is substantially improved.

I know of Matt teeing off on hole two is mandated by regulatory authority, it bothers me just yet. The holes 6 - 8 are somehow too similar. All the 100 meters and narrow.

The Secretariat is nehr nice, the atmosphere good. The practice facilities are fine.

Priced is the whole for € 20, - for nine holes or € 40, - for the daily green fee very fine.

If you (the holes 6-8 mainly) would expand somewhat the place a really good nine hole course could be it.

He limps holding something behind Wienerberg or Leopoldsdorf afterwards, but is also much cheaper and safely for many more accessible.

Converted managed

I played the course twice. Actually, I did not come back after the first time. Narrow lanes, mini-greens and partly. Impossible haircuts. But the discount on the first train was a horror.

But for the conversion then was a bit more space available, and has been well used. The greens are in perfect condition and thank God there is also a Marshal, which takes care that it stays that way. The practice facilities are fine.

The course requires very accurate match, the driver can leave them at home. Furthermore, not resolved is the 8th tee, a very short par 3. tee with SW impossible because you stand under a tree. Thus, you can try one fell swoop, you would not usually play like that. This applies to the whole place.

The 8 is an interesting par 3, and for golfers with little space knowledge it is perhaps even frightening. Despite the discount in the tree-Allee also from the yellow tee it belongs to the three easiest holes on the course and birdies are not rare here. A precondition is the skill of a right golf swing to 100m length. Then you can also easily use a SW. The Pro recommends here but a flat gepunchtes 9s or 8 iron. However, this impact should of course always be here just because even if it creates the ball through the short alley, then waiting for the left of the green, an unpleasant bunker and right of the green of the pond.

The place is but really not easy to play and is often underestimated criminally. Although a driver on the 4 (Par4) and the Par5 (hole 5) is not necessary, but quite recommendable, since then a realistic Eagle could get chance with two holes hitters.

Reiner beginners course!

This place is unfortunately easy to measure only just - the fairways are much too close together, and many holes easier sporty not sexy. Ok for beginners, everyone else should go somewhere else!

It is true that this is not the longest course in Austria, but it requires a strategic and intelligent game, good course management and just haircuts and good wedges for exact approaches to the partly tricky greens defended. Anyone who underestimates this place will be brutally thrown off by him. Even for single handicap golfer is this course a challenge. Who can hit the greens reliably on this course will fail on other golf courses no more green. The PAR 5 provides hitters Although a good Eagle chance if they want to risk with the second shot over the out and the trees in a dogleg, it can then but with only the slightest inaccuracy in attack attempt from the hoped-Eagle also very quickly become a double-par. On the same square every good golfer must first of all to earn his handicap. It will not be easy!

Mini Mundus

Golf Course:
A rather small place in the city. The limited space was well utilized. Some water, bushes and trees make the whole thing seem like a nice park. The small greens are well guarded by bunkers and require precise game.

Location status:
Very well maintained.

Other:
The driving range is a bit remote, but that in comparison to the overall system is surprisingly large.

Conclusion:
Of course, the court has no length and it is enough to take iron set, but between all suitable for a quick round or after work.

Clear improves

The place has been well developed and sophisticated despite its brevity. Friendly welcome at reception. The range is a bit too far from the first tea to be ordained there in silence Markus Salzger as Head Professional, which is the most competent golf coach in the country for me. Have to play green fees are usually not login times in my 5 visits, I never had to wait. Good, compact plant for the round in between, the practice facilities could not tolerate one or the other investment (canopies over quality). Positive.

Green, quiet and yet right in town

Such a thing can enter only in Vienna. Quick play golf after work, right in the middle of the city! No traffic noise, just pure nature only! Manicured fairways, relatively short Par 4 and Par 5 but small, difficult to gambling and well defended greens provide a challenge to the high precision of each golfer. This place may not be athletic underestimated. Not very many golfers here have earned their handicap immediately. Then go after your round of golf or relaxing on a glass of beer in the clubhouse and the golf philosphieren with friends till late evening on the perfect golf swing and the whole world looks quite friendly from then again.
