Pleasant surroundings some great holes. Green were poor

Played at the end of a long dry spell so understandable that the course was in a difficult position to maintain consistency on playable areas which were poor when we visited. A number of greens were pockmarked and were not running true.

Was quite difficult as a visitor to know where each hole led, signage on the tees could have been better.

Front 9 was far better than the back.

Lovely surroundings and views across the valley.

Restaurant was closed for a private function when we visited and would not serve food after the round.

Ups and downs

We played the course in March 2024. What can I say - it's really difficult to draw a conclusion. I like golf courses that are not over-the-top but rather relaxed. Just like you can find in NZ or Australia in the outback. You call - the secretary was very friendly! - clarifies everything and then everything runs on a basis of trust. So the place has pretty much won my heart. I can also live with daisies and non-manicured fairways. However, some parts of the course actually looked more like a field than a golf course. Unfortunately, the condition of the greens is subpar. I'm not a greenkeeper, but that doesn't just look like fungus to me. And I see little chance that the greens will improve significantly in the near future. A pity.

I also like that the place is very varied. There's nothing worse than a golf course where one hole looks the same. There are even holes that have their own character. Nothing is possible with a relaxed start - the 1 (par 5) requires a precise drive. My first ball went to the right onto the driving range, the second went left into the bushes. The short 10, for example, is also unusual.

I think the topography of the place with ups and downs is great. And I don't see the need for a cart at all; you can walk the course very well. (At 35 degrees in the shade, the climb to hole 16 becomes really strenuous. But the 15th( par 3) with the deep green has its charm.) The closely interwoven holes 11,12 and 14 are far too sticky for my taste each other - relaxed playing looks different.
The views of the Main Valley from various places are also very beautiful. But you can clearly hear the road (highway?) from the valley.

All in all - it was a nice, relaxed start to the season for us. And, yes, you can play the course. With a green fee of €80, the bottom line is that value-for-money is no longer the case. We probably won't play the course again.

Very nice challenging course

The hilly course is very demanding but compensates with great views. We found a well-kept facility with extremely hospitable staff (Anita!) and players
