For long time this course was on my bucket list, due the reason that its close to my home and that its part of Leadingcourses portfolio. Entering course you will see the history buildings. Right away from parking lot you are at practice areas and club house. All very close. Ther is quite a lot of space fro practice. Checking in pro shop is a bit difficult if you not speak German, but they try to help you. I appreciated a birdie card as gift and green fee on Monday is just correct price for the course. Course itself is located in small valley close to the forrest. All the holes are nicely shaped with lot of blind shots, where you might lose stroke if you do not know course so play really conservative in first time. There is a lot of opportunity to score, especially in summer, because the fairways were really dry and quite hard. Their condition was nothing special. Greens were good, they just aerificated them and put some sand on. Suprisingly course is a bit noisy, since the roads are nearby. Signature holes I would say are 10,11,12,13 obviously I prefer back nine over front nine. Weakest point would be for me that you cannot get anything to eat or drink on Monday, which is a bit dissapointing taking in account that I came some distance to play there.

The place presented itself in good condition. it is quite hilly/wavy, has side slopes from time to time and is nicely integrated into the landscape. it is varied and interesting to play. good lettering, bunker sand is OK, natural obstacles every now and then, easy to master on foot... pure nature!
Clearly in the upper 4* segment.
two important things are missing for a 5* top rating:
1. the greens are ALL flat, simply banal, ie far too easy to play. really a pity. if this great topography were combined with beautifully undulating greens - the course would (almost) have championship format.
2. almost - because many tracks are very wide and allow a lot of scattering. this would have to be narrowed down a bit with trees/bushes or similar.
Proshop great, comprehensive service, driving range available (2€), fair green fee.
restaurant: definitely worth a stop. good food, friendly service.

We played our second round in Dresden in Possendorf. The club is more dignified, the entrance area even more beautiful, the clubhouse more elegant. Even the parking lot looks more elegant, but the reception was just as warm and happy as in Ullersdorf. The two clubs have belonged together since this year and the members can play the other course free of charge (?).
We started with a "local" - Winfried, who welcomed us warmly and even spoiled us with Prosecco or Aperol Spritz on the round. Thanks again for that, as well as for the wonderful round!
The place is beautiful, very varied, it's partly uphill and downhill, which increases the sporting effect. The course is shorter than that in Ullersdorf, but more challenging. We played in the most beautiful weather and enjoyed every lane. Water comes into play on some holes and the tee shot needs to be well dosed if the ball is to stay in play. Especially the 10 is fun, after a decent hit you still have >150m into the green, in front of a hungry pond. It's really fun, the place! The final hole goes (like the 9) directly to the clubhouse, the 18 still scores with an island green.
The restaurant, on the other hand, scores with good service, delicious food and a really beautifully situated terrace.
The sanitary facilities are also great!
The second round almost overshadowed the first, the course is just a bit more spectacular than Ullersdorf, but both have their appeal. A repeat is definitely planned here, too!

Very varied place. The fairways on the first 9 holes are relatively wide and straight, while the second 9 holes are more difficult to play. Narrower fairways in wooded surroundings, hilly and the two par 3 with 185m (hole 15) and 174m (hole 17) are a challenge for higher handicappers. Well-placed bunkers (hole 9.16) and water hazards, including island greens at hole 10, make the game very interesting on this course.
The employees in the secretariat were very friendly, as was my flight partner, who, as a member of this club for many years, gave me a lot of good tips on the round.
The food in the restaurant was very good and it was good value for money. From the restaurant you also had a very nice view of the island green from hole 18.

Dresden has 3 golf courses: Ullersdorf (18 holes), Possendorf (18 holes) and Herzogswalde (9 holes). We were in September to visit in Dresden and have all 3 courses played.
