Nice 9-hole course in the Oberbergisches Land without frills

Played on 10/29/2022. The 9-hole course (PAR 36) with driving range is located in absolute peace and nature a few kilometers from the Autobahn 4 Cologne-Olpe in the middle of the Bergisches-/Oberbergisches Land in the middle of nowhere. In keeping with the typography, it always goes up and down and there are sloping positions. The course is not a mountain goat, but a cart can definitely be recommended for those who are not quite as athletically ambitious. To get to the first tee, you have to walk a few meters up the first incline next to the driving range. Most tracks, except for the 9, are relatively straight. The relatively large number of bunkers are striking, especially often directly in front of the greens. High rough is the exception rather than the rule, but there are bounds to stay away from. A two smaller water hazards, apart from that there are no big highlights apart from lane 9 with a huge dogleg and possibly blind shots. If you play the round twice, you have to take the same tees, since unfortunately, as is often the case on other 9-hole courses, there are no alternative tees apart from red and yellow. The condition of the tees, bunkers and fairways was OK, although the fairways could have been mowed a little shorter. The greens were unfortunately in a rather suboptimal condition. Lots of holes, so faithful putts were out of the question. The reception by Mrs. Trier in the club office/pro shop was very friendly and nice, and she warmly welcomed us as guests. The green fee for the 9-hole round was €35 per person at the weekend. If you play 18 holes, you pay €45. In the "normal" condition of the place certainly okay. Fortunately, there is no surcharge for players without a regional identification on their ID card. There are no start times, you line up. As a guest, you have to be there between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., otherwise the door will be locked. Game operations on a sunny, warm October Saturday afternoon were manageable. The few members we met gave friendly greetings. We have not seen a clubhouse in the sense and a restaurant is probably not currently operated. Compared to other facilities, it's not enough for 4 stars overall, but if you're in the area and don't expect any special highlights, you're not wrong here for a round of golf without frills.

Dear reiner2304,

We are pleased that you felt welcome with us and thank you for your detailed feedback, which is both praise and an incentive for us. Please allow us just two brief comments: The fact that we have shortened office opening times from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from October 29th, 2022 is due to the end of the main golf season. Nevertheless, we offer green fee guests the opportunity to play on our course outside of office hours by using the green fee box.

At the end of the season, the greens had been aerated a week before your round of golf and due to the weather conditions were not yet in top condition. In addition, to save our greenkeepers' honor, it should be said that we don't mow our fairways quite as deep at the end of October/beginning of November - also because of our altitude of almost 350m.

We hope that you will play our course again next season and that you will be impressed by the really good condition. We look forward to welcoming you again!

Fancy more ⛳️

I have been playing here many times before and I would like to reiterate that I am thrilled as every time, how relaxing this facility affects me. The system has 9 lanes, whereby I am so taken the challenge that the game to a round of 18 is anything but a repeat round. The place is not crowded and thus offers even more fun!!!
Thanks to "All" who entertain this facility!
Please continue...

Great landscape

Very nice and well-kept 9-hole course.. In the varied paths for each Grupa something. The driving range has your name probably does not deserve, because with only 175 meters in length you can not beat a Drive - but does not harm the good overall impression. The food was good, the Secretariat nice and helpful - all in all a successful round of golf in beautiful countryside.

Perfect day at the plant

Though a 9 hole "only" place, it nevertheless requires and beginners and advanced golfers from a lot. It is a quite challenging course in a beautifully located area. The new PRO and the Secretariat are extremely competent and nice. The newly opened gastronomy is performed highly recommended and well.
As I said; a perfect day on the system.

Short Round

Well maintained 9-hole course. Several tracks are parallel to each other and therefore provide little variety. Unless you have very little time, is a "short" round with stunning views of the Bergische Land, but worth it.

Reply to "disgruntled player"

Dear "disgruntled player,"
It is a pity that you express here anonymously about an alleged difference in your green fee payment to the green fee prices published here. The amounts reported here on this page represent the actual green fee prices on our golf course during office opening times to paying green fees. So unfortunately we can not do more than ask you to personally contact us at the Secretariat in conjunction so that you, dear anonymous player, your anger can provide air at a suitable place and we are in a position, your misunderstandings out of the way. The operator of this 1golf. eu site here, the Albrecht publisher, also is not our official organ, so that it - as always in life - is appropriate and useful to gather information at the right place, namely on our website at www. Gimborner country. de We look forward to hearing from you and friendly greetings Tamara A., Trier

Super 9 hole course

We played the course in September 2011. Although "only" a 9 hole course, the whole plant also playful for low handicap players is well maintained, and ansruchsvoll. We have enjoyed the beautiful Ausblcke waherend our lap. The staff were very friendly and the Pro. All in all a very rounded.
