Great public course

Im wondering how to start my review. I haven’t been playing this course for about 6years. At that time it was still only 9 holes. So I was looking forward to see the other 9. Firts of all I would like to admit it right away. This is public course, to me one of the best. For the value they charge now 25EUR its very good. Do not expect services like on championship courses. Parking place next to clubhouse is bit small and your car is in constant danger to be hit by golf ball from academy by beginners. Tee boxes are too hard to put tee in. Fairways are wide, bunkers were filled with enough sand. Big greens. I was surprised by their speed. They were quite fast my guess is about 7. Sometimes they were bumpy especially the new ones. The old nine has lot of trees new nines are quite open. Course is like the others hit by dry summer but still well maintained. The landscape design is above average. There are few nice teeshots where you have to think where your ball need to land it. From few holes you have nice view on Grabstejn castle. Overall good course for beginners.

On the first tee you are still skeptical, looks a bit cramped and not so great. But already after the second shot you see the central part of the pitch and everything gets better. Slightly mountainous, varied, beautiful view. Condition could be better, but does not affect the game.

The hilly golf course is beautifully landscaped and has a sophisticated design. After a few days of rain in mid-May, the place was in a stressed state. The 2nd and 3rd greens were not playable (winter greens were prepared as a replacement... and still the full price was taken - even if the price level is overall mediocre and therefore bearable).
You sometimes have to struggle with very narrow and closely spaced fairways and because of the large clover in the semi-rough, which is tall on almost all the fairways, you are laboriously busy with the ball search as soon as you get something (also through partly sloping and secluded terrain) comes off the fairway. So some balls can quickly be lost as if by magic (you should have enough reserve with you). E-carts are available (with 800 kr. For 18 holes but in the upper price range). The clubhouse is simple, but the staff is very friendly and a nice woman speaks some German. Unfortunately, we could not test the kitchen due to Corona.
The owner / operator is very committed and tries to please his guests, but seems to be in great demand (apparently alone in action) with the space that has now been expanded from 9 to 18 lanes. Conclusion: if you like a challenging game of golf, you will be happy to come back!

I have not lost so many balls in any place. The greens were in good condition. The tee mats of the driving range were in only sufficient condition. E-carts and rental clubs are available. The latter were not in good condition. Unbeatable is the price. We have for green fees 18 holes on a weekday., 2x rental clubs, 1 e-cart, paid 65 €.
The clubhouse is very basic but you get food and drink in good quality. The staff is friendly and hard-working. and also speaks a little German. Unfortunately, there were no logo balls.

I have played the place, because I found the name quite original and needed a break anyway. Caveat: In German called the place "Grafstein" and it hits better.
