Yes, Folgaria is a different golf course and you should get into it when you play on the ski slopes here in the Alps. You can forget classic golf with a driver tee and iron in the green on many holes! Strategy game is popular here if you want to come to the charming clubhouse as a single hadicapper under 100. I was positively surprised by the lightning-fast greens and the mostly excellently manicured fairway! It looks in vain for its kind in some lower altitudes. To give this place 4 or 5 stars would be an affront to places like Garda or Arzaga or International against Punta Espada in the Dominican Republic. or Pinacle Poin in South Africa.

Mountain hike included. Difficult because it is constantly going up or down, but very interesting. Carts are of course available for clients who are not mountain-compatible. The whole area is very nice and well-kept. When you go there, you feel welcome. The reception was accordingly friendly and accommodating, yet unobtrusive.
The course is beautifully situated in the mountains and is probably used as a ski slope in winter. Accordingly, it goes up and down, through forest and then immediately a clear view of the valley.
After the round we enjoyed local specialties in the club restaurant.
Conclusion: an all-round successful day on a beautiful golf course. We will be back!

Unbeatable value for money in the region

Played September 2018. HCP 14 For those who enjoy sloping and varying elevations, a must when in the area. You partly play past the snow cannons!
It starts with the very friendly welcome and a long PAR5. Then come 3 interesting tracks that lead into the forest. My favorite was the 3 - a dogleg which requires precise play (right out, left slope into the forest), in order to attack the well defended green with the second blow. From the 8, the tracks are free with a view of the surrounding mountains, and then return to the 16 back to the forest. Unfortunately not all layouts are so demanding. Still 5 stars, because 40 Euro GF are very cheap.
Course condition was excellent. Greens still had scraps of sand, which did not affect us.
We went with a lot of fun (man. Trolley for 5 euros), for most golfers, a cart is recommended.

The fairways are quite hilly and in good condition (July 2015 due to the high-altitude location even when heat pleasant temperatures). The driving range is spartan but just about ok. The landscape is interesting, meadows alternate with fir forests, not 'Italian' vegetation, more like a sub-alpine ambience.
