Exciting and varied

The place presented itself in very good condition (despite extreme drought). it is quite hilly/wavy, has a lot of side slopes, but is wonderfully embedded in the landscape. good lettering, mostly undulating greens, sand bunkers are OK, many natural obstacles that can be easily mastered on foot... pure nature!

the 17th (par 3) is a pleasure and on the 18th hole you can (must) show what you can do again (damn tight!).

Pro shop service great, driving range available (2 €), very fair green fee.
Restaurant: was unfortunately closed on our game day (Monday), so no rating for it.

it was fun to play this place. for us again.
Evaluation: clearly in the upper range of the 4*.

From the secretariat to the state of care... everything is TOP

We enjoyed the round of golf - with cart - very much.

Despite the delayed starts - due to the bad weather - we were able to go on the round of golf. Before that, the very courteous employee in the secretariat provided us with coffee and weather forecasts, as the restaurant was still closed.

The course is in excellent condition and can certainly be recommended for all skill levels. We will definitely come back here again.

The culinary finale with coffee, cake and shandy was also the finest.

Everything in top condition

For the third year in a row, the region is struggling with a lack of rain. A problem that many golf clubs in the region have to cope with without fairway irrigation. At GC Erlangen you don't notice anything at all! Tees, fairways and greens are in top condition now at the end of the season. The greenkeeping team seems to be doing a perfect job!

The place is underestimated by many! It is not "mean" and riddled with questionable obstacles and not (for normal golfers) unplayable long. But it has its challenges, for example hole 3 (an ascending par 3), hole 9 (par 5 with over 500 m for men), 13 (long par 4). From the highest point of the course, runway 16 offers an incredible view of the entire valley. The downside is a bit of the track 18, which ends nicely at the clubhouse, but is quite steep and inclined.

There is enough parking space, a super nice secretariat, all the people we met were also very friendly and helpful and the gastro was quick and tasty. The relaxed terrace after the round is a must (for us).

By the way: dogs are no problem on a leash on the pitch.

Conclusion: Definitely one of the most beautiful and best-kept places in the region around Nuremberg and we will definitely be back!

Leaf guard

Played yesterday for the second time - after last year.

Just a nice place, also in good condition.

Many Grreenkeepers on the road - the fairways and the greens were foliage free - was fun to play and we'll definitely be back!

Great place in great condition

A really very nice place in perfect condition. Very quiet location and scenic very appealing. Only a few holes with an "unfortunate" layout (eg the 18). All in all, but definitely worth a visit.

Now a jewel in the region

I have already written the end of 2012 to review the GC Erlangen. After I played this year a few times I would like to renew it.

Nothing has changed in the very good reason structure changed rather still evolving for the better: the fairways and greens are all in great condition. Service and friendliness in the Secretariat and in the Gastro are great, the food was very good (not Italian, now wider excellent soups, salads, pasta dishes, goulash and pancakes). There is plenty of convenient parking, some even covered to protect from sun and weather.

What's New?
The green sheet 4 was 2015 (if I remember correctly) rebuilt. The entire web is now much more interesting, because the green with bunkers is defended and is beautifully formed. In addition, it is larger and greatly raised backwards (which is good if you hit too long).
The green of the 13 was also increased, making the hole easier playability.
Absolute highlights are the new tracks 14 and 15 as well as the significantly longer path 16 (formerly 14) of which one has a mad view over the whole landscape.
For now account for the old 16 (which led across the access road down) and the old 18 (this strange dogleg around the farm).

All in all, it must be said that the system has developed in the last 10 years from a simple golf course into a real golfing gem in the Greater Nuremberg.

Personally, I find the GCE - in my view certainly subjective - playing less expensive than, for example, the courts in Herzogenaurauch, Fürth, Pottenstein, Kanndorf, and even Hilzhofen Am Reichswald. Other recommendations from me in the region are Habsberg, Gerhelm and Lauterhofen.

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings!

An exceptional place that in many ways different from other (in the vicinity):

- No train is equal. In fact, each hole has its own character.

- The views (especially from web 16) legendary, you can the views of the surrounding villages, as Kalchreuth, enjoy

- The three youngest webs 14,15 and 16 (opened in June) give the entire Golf Club a very special flair

- The place is in a fabulous condition and can be played wonderful

So it really pays to take the ride up, especially if you have the space nor as a 9-hole course in memory (as happened to me and I was pleasantly surprised)!

And he keeps getting better

The place was fully booked on Easter Monday, and at temperatures between +1 ° and +3 ° C! Far and wide the only place in the summer greens were playable. The restaurant was over the holidays to a range for everyone (schnitzel, potato soup, pasta with shrimp, salads, cakes ...).
The greens were good playable, although the dollar disease (fungus) has been spreading over the winter on some greens. I hope it (which are now public parks) also according to the new EU guidelines for golf courses will be an authorization for the use of fungicides in the (hopefully coming soon) growth phase. The place is so beautifully integrated into the otherwise agricultural area, where it is not exactly petty dealt with pesticides!

Great development

I have played the course once, when he was a 9-hole course. Then shortly after the expansion to 18 holes - since you did not notice that much be first "run" and the court must still needs some time to waxing.

2012 I played there three times. Simply because the place is wonderful to play. The condition was always excellent with great fairways, the greens were only 2 out of 3 times somewhat dull / slow. Between two holes (the 5 and 6) you have time to run 250 meters - otherwise the holes are beautiful together. Some holes are then also real challenges, such as 13, a very long par 4 with water in front of the small green or the 15, a par 3 steeply down a peninsula green - great!

The complex is in a quiet yet very easily accessible from Erlangen and Nürnberg-Nord from.

The Secretariat was very nice and accommodating. The Gastro terrace with great friendly, quick and tasty (Italian / Mediterranean) and the other players / members were also very friendly and relaxed.

Super location!

I Golfe for many years and must say that the golf club Erlangen is one of the most beautiful I've ever played. Through the hills and plenty of water, the place is quite a challange. The course also always makes a very neat impression.

New management brought noticeable improvements!

This wonderful scenic golf course in the region fell unfortunately Veruf. In 2011, changes were made incredible... the condition of the course was good to very good throughout the year, the greens were great!
I can only recommend to make yourself a picture.

Incidentally, the golf school is highly recommended. The young team with Blain Bertrand and Sebastian Platschek will take care of your slice.

The fifth star has earned as soon as the planned changes are completed successfully and the food has a reasonable tenant of the club.

Beautiful course in great scenery

At hole 1 you still thinking where you ended up doing here. It increases, however, and is always more exciting to play the course. There are some water hazards and gradients and much rough. The place is in my opinion harder than it enter the playing requirements. The condition is fine, especially the greens. Higher HC it will not always easy. Is a pity that the Greenkeeper not always pay attention to the players and start to mow more often then if you just play the putt. Strange are the last two holes that need to be played on the access road to the clubhouse. The simple office with a small pro shop is housed separately from the restaurant and changing rooms. Even the parking lot is not exactly in front of the Tuere and requires a longer way to the clubhouse. The green fee is 45, - € in my view, in order. First-time guest players should be offered a free Birdiebook.

Very positive development

After some years ago the place was expanded from 9 to 18 holes, quite a lot has happened. Wonderfully scenic location, this place is partially demanding, sometimes a little more special than the others in the area. It is quite hilly, water makes a hole or other exciting and not only long-hitter come here with their challenges.
Further developments have taken the place very well and it definitely continues to expand and around. Beautiful terrace at the clubhouse, Frankish based cooking at a good level.

Expensive

The expansion of the square from 9 to 18 holes is really well done. Unfortunately, the pricing of the green fee is incomprehensible better places in the region are favorable. We played the course in May, the greens were sanded and had plate-sized bald patches due to fungal infestation. That nevertheless the full green fee WE was raised, we felt it was outrageous.

Is not worth the price

A place of absolutely has its charms especially the first half lap (in this case, there are 10 holes) has some interesting holes. Mentioned here is a nice one especially the dogleg and the 6th elevated tee to a valley. In the second half it shows the place at which it was originally opened as a 9 hole course and expanded later. Some things get tight and crowded only with the 16 island green stands out here. However, the greatest drawback of the place is the price from 2008 to 2009, the weekend green fee of 45, was - to 55, - is raised to an even stronger charge for memberships remote all in all there is for this price in the region wesendlich better places.
