A great course... and VERY well maintained fairways and greens.
It's in a lovely setting in the Eifel hills with beautiful views trying to take your concentration from the golf.
There are some real interesting holes, especially the second nine are a great experience and it continues all the way to the 19th.
The reception and 19th hole are very friendly indeed making you feel real welcome.
I've been there just twice now but it's a course that will get me back again and again ... (less than 2 hours travel for me) I can highly recommend, it whatever your handicap is.
Quite good to combine with a few days stay, also playing at the Bitburger Land.. also very nice and well kept.. and Golfanlage Lietzenhof.. the second nine here are great. None of these courses will break the bank.

Played on October 29th, 2020. As the name suggests, the 18-hole golf course is located in the Eifel near the mineral water town of Gerolstein, in the middle of nowhere. Coming from Cologne you drive the A1 to the end of the current expansion and then have to drive about 20km on federal roads to the club. The course, on the front nine (at least the lanes 1 to 7) rather open and on the back nine absolute parkland (narrower tees) with tall trees, sometimes in the middle of the fairway, is basically in peace and nature, if not there Bundesstraße would share the space and you can clearly hear the corresponding traffic on some railways. A few power lines are visible but do not come into play. The course itself is already demanding, hilly, especially on the back nine, as you can expect in the Eifel. The clubhouse / secretariat is in a different building from the restaurant (not tested). From the parking lot you walk a few meters past the first tee and the driving range to the clubhouse. The staff member was friendly, as were most of the members I met. The green fee of 65 € is 5 to 10 € on weekdays and 90 € on weekends by 20 € in my opinion. Possibly. This is also one of the reasons why there were few players / guests on the course when I played on a cloudy Thursday morning. Thankfully and in a way that promotes golf, the club does at least not charge any surcharges for golfers without a hologram. The currently mandatory start times can be viewed by guests via "detours" on the homepage via PC-Caddy, but unfortunately they cannot book them. All in all very solid. If you are in the vicinity or go on a trip to the Eifel and like hilly terrain, a round at the GC Eifel can be recommended.
