i have looked forward to playing here for a while and was not disappointed, only nine holes but double tee boxes give it 18 very different challenges and with heather and gorse lining the narrow undulating fairways and with the stunning surroundings then you really must try this course, add a really friendly welcome and some of the cheapest prices around and you can't go wrong. (just remember the extra balls!!!)

A tip: Empty, nice and hard

This place has it in several respects in itself.
Location: On the one side of the Caledonian Canal, around high mountains - an impressive scenery.
The terrain: One set in a heathland. Often they think they are in the middle of a nature reserve.
Simplicity: No luxury, no Chichi - just golf. The simple clubhouse was closed during our visit, the green fee was thus thrown into an envelope through the door slot.
Loneliness: We went on a Sunday in June in dry weather at noon initially with another player alone on the court, then after completely alone - for hours!
The problem: The place has it all. Paths as long as an 18 hole course, narrow fairways, on the sides of dense bracken or yellow grass - the drives and transport strikes must be straight, or else face a long ball search and loss of possession. The greens are tricky and were slowly getting used to our game.
The cult character: sheep as living lawnmowers on the court, on two tracks blows over fences, passing ships, the loneliness on the tracks, zero pressure, because of the two distinctly different tee boxes on each lane in two rounds 18 hole character, and before especially golf basic - it has something. And all at a fraction of the cost Scottish star places.
For us, a besuchenswerter tip. And a lesson in humility: Treasures a 9 hole course never low.
