Flamingo Golf Course is located an dominating hill overlooking the entire "sebkha" (alty lakes) of Monastir, and its surrounding feature over 70 axes of olive tree (approximately 2000 trees) undulated greens, well sloped fairways.
The course is a Ronald Fream design, including 3 water holes, 7 cliff-holes, sloped green, and a collection of fairways designed to challenge all types of golfers.
The Flamingo Golf Course has been in existence for 13 years, and has been a definite stop on many European golfers. This championship course was the venue of several international Pro-Am.
After a long day of golf, the club house becomes the best relaxation get a way.
Its panoramic terrace, overlooking the entire course and its impregnable view is the perfect place to savour some Mediterranean cuisine.

I visited this course yesterday, 1 August 2010, and was informed that the course is closed until early 2011 at least. They are installing a new irrigation system.

The place is really worth to see. No comparison to earlier.
The Fairwais are good, partly improved, the greens just great. All greens are made new, fast and very well maintained.
The clubhouse, putting green, driving range, have become very beautiful. The staff is as friendly as ever. Can only recommend this place.

With a group of 3 players (every 30 years, low HCPs to single-HCP), we played at the Flamingo Course 06.01.2013 newly opened mid-January 2013. He was about 2 1/2 year closed (in 2010-2012) and subjected to a proper redesign. Also what is the quality of the grass species used invested.
To sum it up: In addition to "The Residence Tunis (Les Cotes de Carthage) the place near Monastir is now one of the top three places in Tunisia Both equally appealing and sophisticated design make the course a Pfichtbesuch.!
The CR of the par 72 course with now over 6200 m in length should be felt at 75.0 from the white tees (Champions teas). The first 9 holes are extremly good and also the varied back 9 holes can be seen. Individual space elements reminiscent partly of places in South Africa.
There is a star deduction for the part not yet been completely filled water hazards (artificial lakes) and some limited training opportunities (D-Range / Putting Green / very little chipping). The quality of the greens and fairways was good. The service was good - friendly aloof. Locker rooms clean. Free lockers.
Absolute Best Place for cold winter months in the north of Africa!
