Characteristics
Course A (Mar-Pinos): The holes 1-9 offer wide fairways and three lakes. The green at hole 6 must be mentioned particularly, since it is situated on the coast. The holes 10-18 are surrounded by stone pines and without water hazards. Course B (Centro): the first 9 holes are even with a lake between hole 5, 8 and 9. From hole 10-13 the area is hilly, with water besides 10 and 13and offers an unique view on the Atlantic Ocean. Hole 18 has a S-form-bunker (designer: Severiano Ballesteros).

B Course is way nicer than A Course

We played both courses in Nov/2017. Course B was in very good shape and much nicer to play than the A Course, although most people prefer the A course.
The Iberostar Courses are the best in the Novo Sancti Petri area. Compared to Hills, Campano, Estancia, there is no question that Iberostar courses are the one to play.
We had as hotel guest fair Greenfee conditions. Tokens and Trolleys as well for reasonable price considering that we are speaking of resort golf courses.
The pine trees at the courses are beautiful, although our Golfballs quite oft were stopped by them. In sommer, these trees are keeping those fairways and Greens cool. Greens were in good conditions. The A course had more pitch marks than it should.
I will definitely play course B on my next visit. Fairplay Gold, Montenmedios and Sherry Golf are to my taste at the same level than the A Course.

We played the Novo B and Novo A courses in May. The €5 for 40 balls at the driving range is overpriced!
Course B was in good condition and played well. Novo A, however, was only okay on the first nine holes. Holes 10 through 18 were a disaster! Not a single blade of grass on any of the nine fairways. Only the greens had any grass. Everything had been sprayed with herbicide or over-fertilized; traces of the herbicide were still visible on the ground.
No information about the unplayable course, no warning, no discount! The staff at the information desk just shrugged. That doesn't do any good advertising for an otherwise beautiful course.

We would like to clarify that we have initiated major renovation works on this section of the course. This project responds to our adaptation to EU environmental regulations, which will guarantee the use of 100% recycled water and allow us to achieve a drastic reduction in irrigation water consumption.
Furthermore, we are taking this opportunity to significantly improve our facilities by building new buggy paths, restoring the tee platforms, and completely renewing the greens and fringes. Please note that information regarding these ongoing renovations and the course conditions was available on a sign displayed in our clubhouse.
Nevertheless, we deeply regret the frustration this caused during your visit.

Mar&Pinos played on May 1st, 2026. Holes 1-9 were well-maintained, not easy, but enjoyable. Holes 10-18, however, were an outrage and can only be described as arrogant and a rip-off. There is no fairway. The grass is rotten. The holes are now closed in May and completely rebuilt! No mention of the condition, yet they're charging €100.00 in free play fees. This is infuriating and baffling. Outrageous!
The following day I played the Cento course. It was impeccably maintained, and the fairways and greens were a joy to play. The green fee was €79.00. Fair value for money! Unfortunately, it wasn't ideal for fast players. A marshal monitoring the play of each group would have been helpful. The round took almost 6 hours for 18 holes.
