Characteristics
The course is parkland and can prove a real test of golf, particularly in windy conditions. All but 3 holes were part of the former opencast coal site. A large number of conifer and deciduous trees and shrubs have been planted which have now matured giving beautiful tree lined fairways. The course demands good straight drives and accurate iron play into tight and bunkered greens.
