Characteristics
Arabella Golf Club, Kleinmond, (just outside of Hermanus), Western Cape / The theme is balance. Challenging enough to bring you back for more, enjoyable enough to make you not want to leave. The design challenge was headed by the renowned architect Peter Matkovich. His undoubted success has resulted in a course that complements the environment without disappointing the golfer, whether expert or amateur. The course is 6381 metres in length and has a SAGU rating of 72. It borders the largest natural lagoon in South Africa, and the 9th, 17th and 18th run parallel to the lagoon. Choosing a signature hole proves to be an extremely difficult task as all of the holes are well designed with spectacular views.

Fantastic golf course.

Have been visiting the course in February 2019 and it was in a tremendous good condition. Spoke with the GM and he was very helpful and informed us about this plans and service improvements.
You should play this course.

I am 8 Hcp player and was expecting a top of the range golf course.
Unfortunately it was just average.
Greens are not very fast and the course has hardly any difficuilties.
Friendly staff but not worth the money.

I'm not necessarily an unconditional fan of hotel facilities, but to give this course less than 5 stars would simply not be fair. The course is beautifully laid out in the landscape, the development is less intrusive and everything is top standard. There are also one or two holes that are absolutely memorable, such as the long 8, which leads diagonally down the slope and then ends on a green surrounded by reeds in the lagoon. Or the tee shot on the 9, which leads over this lagoon into a sloping fairway and you have to think very carefully about which length entails which angle. Of course it has its price, but as an affiliated member you can currently play the course for around Euro 50, which is a price for South Africa, but still reasonable.
