Traditionsreiches Kleinod am Rande der Pennines March 20, 2011
Sehr malerisch gelegender kleiner Golfplatz am Rande des Pennine Gebirges. Der traditionsreiche kleine Club gegründet 1894 schmiegt sich an die Ausläufer des Mittelgebirges und bietet traumhafte Aussichten.
Durch die exponierte Lage und das Layout ist dieser Platz auch im Herbst und Frühjahr gut bespielbar. Die Grüns sind durch Weidezeune geschützt, da die Greenkeeper hier teils aus Schafen und Pferden rekrutiert sind.
Der kurze aber anspruchsvolle Platz ist nicht einfach zu spielen. Am besten man schließt sich bei der ersten Runde Einheimischen an. Ein Birdiebook gibt es nicht und man kann viele Bälle verlieren ;-)
Dieser Platz ist immer eine Reise oder einen Abstecher wert!
