Unlucky

Druids Glen Golf Club was supposed to be the highlight of our five-day golf trip in Ireland. The green fee ended up being €210 per person.
We had booked the space weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we were not informed about the work that was taking place.
Then came the sobering realization: At the same time as the first tee-off, heavy machinery and tractors with trailers drove onto the fairways of the course and deposited a layer of sand several centimeters thick on the grass. No consideration was given to the guests playing. The vehicles drove around between the golfers without waiting. This noise and the resulting dust took away our enjoyment of playing golf.
When we complained about the situation in the clubhouse, we were put off by the club manager and in the end our request was rejected with flimsy arguments.
It's a real shame, we were looking forward to the otherwise very nice place, but the management bitterly disappointed us.
Unfortunately no recommendation.

Full green fee despite massive course maintenance

Heavy construction vehicles were being used to carry out work all over the course and we were not informed about it. As a group of five, we had paid a green fee of €210 each, but there was no reduction. Anywhere else in the world, a reduction would have been the least we could get. The club manager simply kept us waiting and talked to us or sent us emails. Not at all appropriate for the club's standards.

Very helpful secretariat

Due to my mistake (had booked a place with the same name in the USA online - but according to the secretariat this is not uncommon) we were on Sunday lunchtime without tee time.
We were pushed in between without any problems - thank you The place was, like a few years before, in perfect condition and again a pleasure.
In addition, some tracks are unsurpassed beautiful.
